Is it FFVIII and Squall? I can't remember him throwing weapons. There was a "throw" materia in VII wasn't there, but any character could use it.

Re: Video Game Trivia
It being FFIX would explain why I don't know it. I have the game, but haven't played very far into it yet. Maybe I will this summer.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Wrong generation guys... game originally came out in cartridge format and was one of the first mainstream games w/ useful side quests.

I think FF4 was first called FF2 in America. My best guess from FF4 is Cecil.

Nope, don't think there was an Excalibur in FF6... plus it was the previous game that gave use cool side quests for the first time... I remember getting the Odin summon for the first time, but you had to go back to a certain castle at a certain time in order to get it. For Excalibur you had to get like 4 special items, bring them underground, and then complete another part of the main story before coming back and retrieving your prize.

Really close. Cecil couldn't throw in either his dark knight or paladin form. One of his allies could though.
I'd say you're close enough at this point if you have another question.

I've actually never played IV, so the only character I know is Cecil.
Ok, give me a sec, I'll think of a question.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Ok... the character's name was EDGE, and if you threw the Excalibur it would hit at max damage every time, which made the item duping glitch that much more powerful.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Ok, I’m not sure the difficulty of this question, but I absolutely love the game.
In a certain game, you help an injured person and are rewarded a piece of headgear that makes you effectively invisible.
1. Name the game
2. Name the reward
3. Name the person who gives it to you.

Nope. But I totally remember playing that game as a kid!
Hint: The key word is "effectively". You don't actually turn invisible.

Maybe?

Yep, I'll give it to you. I was hoping someone would be as much of a Majora's fanatic as I am and know the guy's name. But you're totally close enough. Your turn.

Well, I may not know his name, but I remember that he wasn't actually injured. He was just depressed that he wasn't energetic enough to stand out and be noticed
In the original N64 version of Banjo-Kazooie, the Stop 'N' Swop functionality ultimately had to be removed from the game, but all of the items still existed and were collectible via certain secret passcodes entered in the sandcastle in Treasure Trove Cove. Name 2 of these passcodes and the items they unlocked.

I double-checked, it's really not clear what's wrong with him. I guess I assumed he was injured because he was sitting there for "many years, waving [his] arms around and asking for help", and asks for "medicine" to "feel better". Suppose that could be physical or emotional, but he does say he's used to not standing out.
I remember playing Banjo Kazooie some, but too long ago. Can't remember this.

Re: Video Game Trivia
I only played that game once or twice. It's kinda funny but I remember I actually wasn't physically able to continue playing it. Something about the textures and the way they moved when you moved the camera used to make me motion sick. I'd get severe head aches and nausea if I played for more than a few minutes. Happened with Donkey Kong 64 too. I do know that there were a bunch of different colored eggs you could unlock by entering codes on a floor panel though. I think I remember a yellow one and a purple one.

Weird. Did it happen with other Rare games as well besides just BK and DK64? Either way that kinda sucks
I'll give you half of it since you remembered two of the items correctly, and say that if nobody comes up with some codes then I'll give it to you. I realize this was kind of specific and seeing as how there've only been 2 responses in a while I don't want it to drag on too long

Re: Video Game Trivia
I don't think so. It only happened with 64 games for sure. Those are the only 2 I can remember it happening with.
Actually there was another one too. I can't remember what it was called but the main character was a little white hand and it was an adventure game like Mario 64 and the other 2.

And I guess you get the answer since nobody else said anything for 2 days and I don't wanna be the one who kills this thread
Anyways, what I was looking for was any of the following:
The Red Egg: "This Secret Youll Be Grabbin In The Captains Cabin"
The Yellow Egg: "Now Banjo Will Be Able To See It On Nabnuts Table"
The Green Egg: "Amidst The Haunted Gloom A Secret In The Bathroom"
The Blue Egg: "A Desert Door Opens Wide Ancient Secrets Wait Inside"
The Purple Egg: "Out Of The Sea It Rises To Reveal More Secret Prizes"
Access the Ice Key: "Now You Can See A Nice Ice Key Which You Can Have For Free"

Re: Video Game Trivia
Yeah I never would have gotten that. I only vaguely remembered my portion of the answer, and I don't know that I would have without having been asked the question.
Whose this guy?
What's he from? What's his name? What's his deal?
