The White Hollow run

So, I know most people don't post things like this often around here anymore but I'd just like to post this because I haven't yet. Maybe some of you will enjoy the run.

Okay so four months ago I created this run in a failed attempt to hold my interest in the game. I still completed it though and I can say it was a bit of a challenge for me.

The basic point of the run is to go through the game with a basic weapon that is only upgraded to +5.

RULES

You can only upgrade weapons with regular titanite and only up to +5
You cannot wear body or head armor
You cannot use weapons that are upgraded through demon, dragon, or twinkling titanite
HUD must be disabled through the run
You cannot use weapons of a different upgrade path
Cannot have a starting gift
Cannot use magic or miracles
You may not down grade your weapons either

It took me about a week on and off of the game to complete the run.

No head gear or magic? You go through the Tomb of the Giants blind (until you get the Skull Lantern)? I did that my first time; that might have been enough for me.

Then my game is screwey, I hardly ever get a lanturn and I always clear the area before killing pinwheel.

Not true, it's a random drop. I've gone through killing all the necros and not gotten a lantern.

Is there a list of all of these challenge runs somewhere? It would be fun to browse them and, like, a list of who's completely them..

A thread could be made listing them all, actually that might be something I can do for you too.

As far as listing everyone that completed them, I don't think it's possible. Some people have completed them and probably would like to keep their completion of the run private.

Last Necro has increased drop rate, otherwise it's pretty random.

Would be pretty easy as dragon with a spear and probably Balder Shield and dragon claws, but then again, killing an hour+ of drakes would be a lot harder.

I'm kinda tempted to do a straight sword hilt only playthrough. The only requirement would be that the only weapon I use be a straight sword hilt. Any items, upgrade path, armor, etc. may be used.

Do buffs count?
On a sidenote, you can only get one per playthrough, so it looks like it will be pretty difficult

WHOHOHO, I think we have a badass. Joking aside, I'm pretty sure that the skull lantern is a guaranteed drop, at least it according to the wiki "Guaranteed drop from the last necromancer killed in the Catacombs." -http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Skull+Lantern

anyway, This sounds like a pretty challenging run, but the difficulty level is far beyond my capabilities.
