I'm having one of the most random mornings of all time.

My wife who goes to work well before me wakes me up at 5:30am to tell me there's no hot water. Zero. No biggie, I can light the pilot quick. Except I can't. It won't stay lit. After about 20 minutes of trying I decide I will need to call the landlord when it's an appropriate time to do so. My wife had just left for work and I went back to bed for the 40 minutes or so until the alarm went off. Except being the MacGyver wannabe I am, I look up the hot water tank issue. I doze off with a little more information in my head. I woulda went downstairs to try again but my daughter could wake up at any moment and I didn't want her two floors away and my stepdaughter who could be there is getting up to get ready for school.....and has to take a cold shower unfortunately. I wake up, get my daughter situated with Powerpuff girls and a cereal bar and go to work. Less than two minutes later I have the heater working. Yay me!

We're all ready and on our way to our respective days. Shortly after leaving there's a lot of debris on the road. Only one car up ahead, but that's a lot of broken stuff. The driver is on her phone on the side of the road and is not injured so I assume deer strike.

We're still on our way and a school bus cuts me off. Seriously? What the hell. Later on it passes a sedan and another school bus. My only consolation is that the other bus was acting like it might have been communicating the lack of traffic ahead of it.

Before I'm rid of the hurried bus though, we're all stopped at a red light. I look in my mirror and there's a woman in the car behind me that appears to be crying. She's dressed well, looks like she's on her way to work, is she actually crying? I glance a few more times and yeah, she definitely is. Can't help but wonder what kind of ****ty morning she's having. She looks like she's desperately trying to pull herself together which means whatever's going on she doesn't want her coworkers to know about it. Wish I could help but know getting out of my car in traffic to talk to her would not be viewed well.

Anyway, now to type at work and hopefully get something done. Weird I tell ya

Crazy morning, I wish I had a morning that involved something ominous happening or not. Regardless, I hope you have a good day Skare. Just make sure not to cross under any ladders and make sure to stay away from black cats too.

So far so good. Got to work and doing procrastination like Serious a little. I am getting some writing done and listening to Graveyard (great band) on my headphones. My supervisor is fine with this as it drastically increases my typing speed. Fingers crossed though.


EDIT: Figured I'd add that the song "Longing" is on right this second. Absolutely amazing whistle solo in a very moving song.
