don't know how xbox online works but... is it possible to be blocked due to another player reporting you or something, any bad sports come to mind?

That's odd. I renewed mine yesterday and it worked fine for me. What exactly is it saying when you try to invade? Or is it saying "Playing Offline" at the Title screen?

This same thing happened to me yesterday on the PS3, had to reset the router a few times before finally I could play online again.
