Humanity Drained first hit =/
So I was having some fun and decided to try some Forest PVP, got pwned the first time. But then the second invasion, a guy came in and hit me, a message flashed saying my humanity was drained, then suddenly I was falling through the world. I've read around a bit and seen that this has happened to others, so I don't need reiteration there. But it did drain my stats but not my SL, is there a save editor or something I can use to fix this rather than farming for I don't even know how many souls to fix my stats? I'd appreciate a response, thank you!

Re: Humanity Drained first hit =/
I'm sorry about what happened to you, it's an absolute nightmare that people actually do that to each other. We aren't allowed though to talk about how to mod, save edit, etc, openly on the forum. However you may be able to get people to be willing to trade you items, and help Co-Op you through the game.
Honestly this is one of those cases where I can understand using a save editor, but it's just against the forum rules. I really hope you can figure sometihng out to try and deal with the situation. I'm still cringing about the thought of that happening to any of the builds I've spent hundreds of hours on.

Ah well =/ I don't have a wonderful connection so Co-Op is out of the question, sadly. I was even lucky to get some PvP in. Appreciate the response anyway.

Re: Humanity Drained first hit =/
What is the cause of this?
It sounds so similar to the Lifedrain of the Dark Hand, but with the stat drain aswell I assume its someone hacking the game?
I'm not asking for details just to clarify whether its an in-game mechanic or *** haxors bein *** hackers.

I know it was possible in DeS with one boss and one spell, but in DkS, he should be only able to drain your soft Humanity.
The crap people come up with to ruin a great game is astonishing.

It's a common hack.
They drain your stats, but not your SL, so you're still at, say SL 120, but with 1 in every stat.
Coop and trading can't help you since you'd be past the PvP level, not mentioning the cost.
I suggest you do some research on save editors, either that or make a new character.

That's f*cked up man!
Why would anyone want to ruin somebody's game like this?
That's seriously on the 'find the guy and travel over the world to punch him' level.

Wow, that's low. Who would have the nerve to do something like that? You work so hard on your character, spend countless hours perfecting him/her. And then some bastard invades you and munches your stats. Some people man.

Not just a nut tap. This calls for a falcon punch in the nut sack, even if it's a female..Sentiel wrote:SERIOUSLY?!Hachouma wrote:It's a common hack.

Bar editing your character using a save editor, the only thing to do is to start again, there is nothing else you can do.

Re: Humanity Drained first hit =/
Yes, I am on PC =/ and sadly, I tried a save editor last night to correct my stats but it just corrupts the save file. I must be doing something wrong, but I dunno what. I ended up grinding out the lost levels, thankfully it was only a couple. But now I'll always be several levels ahead of my stats, which is pretty disappointing. That'll teach me to try and enjoy PvP haha XD I guess just stay out of the forest? The vid I watched had it happen there to a Japanese player, and it happened to me in the forest, so I'm not too certain whether or not it has to do with the area? Either way, I appreciate the aid offers, but unless you know how to properly educate me on an editor, I'm out of luck. Thank you though.

Re: Humanity Drained first hit =/
rather than what you get for trying to enjoy PvP, its more what you get for trying to PvP on PC. the PC version is well known to have issues and not the least of which is that hackers are abound, and they're worse than the **** of ****. the problem with the PC version is that like everything else on PC, its code got cracked easily, and people made cheat engines for it. this is the reason i don't play games on PC very much anymore. its too easy to cheat, and for someone else to cheat adversely affecting you. i can't help with your character, just suggest you stay hollow. even that may not be safe, with all the glitches and cheats abound.
as for the "why would someone do this" why does someone do anything wrong? either they have a reason, or they derive some sadistic pleasure out of it. since theres no possible reason to reduce anothers stats, and no way it could affect the drainer, the latter is more readily believe-able.
honestly? if i could track down and beat **** like these for a job, i'd enjoy my job for the rest of my life

They should do something against all the hackers on PC... Even though that is hard and nearly impossible.

The answer is to use servers, with standard anti-cheat software.
Cheaters in games like starcraft 2, league of legends, or any other well-managed company server don't have their accounts long. Sc2 will ban your key and then you need to buy another copy if you want to play again.
It's amazing how much more rare that makes the hackers. Too bad microsoft doesn't give a **** or there would be some heavy console banning going on (hacking is a comparatively minor issue in DS compared to older call of duty games, madden using DoS attacks, and other jtag garbage).

If you are going to use a save editor, be safe with the downloads as some may be viruses

PC players should also know that dsfix has a savegame backup feature, so you can enable that to minimize your losses if you meet a de-level hacker.
