I think that the Longsword is hugely underrated. I'm currently working on a build for it, and I must say it is an excellent weapon, perhaps even my favourite. from what I can tell, it's pretty much a smaller, faster Claymore, but with enough damage for the smaller size to not be an issue.

I think technically the claymore is a bigger slower longsword. And I don't see the longsword often but I use it fairly often and I don't know of anyone who hates it.

I find the Guardian's Tail underrated, i mean sure, it has low poison buildup and bad damage, but if you add rotten pine resin first and crystal magic weapon or sunlight blade.....hehehe

Knife + Buff = Win, Ma'am.
I would say either kicking, or in sense of a weapon, the Server. It sees no play because of Murakumo being there, and they assume it is significantly weaker because it already has the perk of the hp gain. But its stat req's are so lower, if you two-hand it and just have 16 str, 13 dex, go chaos, you'll be hitting very hard, fast, and stun-locking at low sl.
It's essentially the same idea as the Zwei, but higher dex req's in exchange for less range but more speed. The Zwei is, on the other hand, a great, but well appreciated weapon.

well mine would be the obsidian greatsword, i never really see it and on my mage build it kicks ***, like no real stat requirements and 480 AR + its buffable.

I don't get all this dagger hoopla. I mean the Bandit Knife is the same weapon with better stats. Or am I missing something? Is there some secret to the dagger I'm not in on?

The dagger has thrust attacks while the bandit dagger doesn't have that, the thrust is really powerful if you pair it with the leo ring

You probably don't see it because A) it's DLC item and B) you have to chop it off kala, which is a pain in the *** at best

Dagger is faster, benefits from the Leo Ring with the R2s, weighs .5 units less, and every base class can use it.
Much better than Bandit's Knife.

This. The Longsword is good overall. But even better if you think creatively. The 2H R2s swing like a Broadsword. And it uses a bit less stamina and is a tiny bit faster/longer.

jagged ghost blade. the offhand curved sword for pure str builds. the damage is laughable but coparable to a offhand dagger@40dex. but offhand weapons are a tool, not a damage dealer...too bad there is no "big" (as in 500+ dmg) str weapon with bleed effect^^

The Pike Running attack is like the R2 of Ricard's. Hard to land, but if you do you get three free hits in while pushing and staggering someone. Quite useful for finishing off runners in tight areas, like on bridges. I use the pike quite often and enjoy it.

My most underrated weapon would have to be the Butchers Knife.
Barely ever see it on PC and it's quite a good weapon with some funny attacks.
It dead angles nicely on strafe BS fishers, deals decent poise damage, is quick enough, and hits pretty hard. IMO it should do more damage as it's vastly outclassed by a Katana (Uchi does the same damage but is twice as fast with bleed and less weight and a thrust attack, in fact nerf katanas plx FROM).
