Title says it. Are you all as relieved as I am that we will be able to get Dark Souls II for our current systems rather than switching to the rather iffy looking next gen consoles. Sure it will almost certainly be launched on next gens as well but I for one will be in no rush to get said consoles to begin with. What are your opinions guys?

Am I the only one relieved that Dark Souls II will be on current consoles?

I'm currently having mixed feelings on that. I like it, but at the same time not. I'd like having it on PS4 for once I get it so that I could meet everyone in DkS2.

No, because every next gen system could turn out to be complete arse.

Itwill be annoying because I prefer to wait a while to get a new console.. and if it's on next gen too it means when I get PS4 i'd have to buy it again to play it with everyone on the forum, which would be pretty damn annoying.

I relieved it's on current consoles because:
1. Current consoles have the bigger player base = more multiplayer.
2. Possible port to next gen consoles which means there will be 5 platforms to play it on.
3. Price will be £40 instead of £400 to £600. A lot of money to spend just for one game.
4. Current consoles don't have ridiculous DRM or a camera always looking at you.

I'm really glad it's on current gen consoles. I'm not going to like xbox one at all. I decided I'll switch to PC gaming. It'd be a drag to have to buy a PS4 just for one game.(although I totally would)

I figure I'll probably get a PS4 anyway, but I'm really not sure what platform to get Dark Souls 2 for. I'm used to playing DkS on PC, and given the choice it would be nice to have it on my laptop, so it's portable. But, I think the consoles will probably have a greater player base. I'm not sure whether next-gen or current-gen consoles will have more players, though.
...a lot of factors to consider.
