Miyazakis new project? Destiny of Spirits?

just seen this whilst perusing the web, was gonna put it on Demon Souls thread or general but thought this thread was all sequelly and would garner the most interest. . Mods feel free to move if you think otherwise.

there are quite a few things in there that would suggest a Miyazaki involvement. . .

The 'Nexus'
Miyazaki's 'other' project?
its FROM software.
PS4 exclusive, I could definitely see Sony wanting to pull Miyazaki on their side
Demons Souls was a PS3 exclusive.
DS initials?
other stuff too . . .

Anyways, it looks interesting to be fair. It's likely Miyazaki's next project as it sounds influenced by souls quite heavily.

We'll have to wait and see though, we've got a paragraph and some bullet poiints. Nothing concrete really.

I was about to post this a few days ago but the source of information is unknown, I think it was traced back to 4chan. But there's also a rumor going around that From is working on demons souls 2, and someone might have just put 2 and 2 together with DoS being DeS2, it certainly sounds that way if the synopsis turns out to be true.
I'm crossing my fingers for E3 none the less

That does sounds like a Demon's follow-up... Remember Sony still owns the name for Demon's

I really hope it's legit and not a hoax, would be awesome to get yet another from soft rpg, and best of all directed by Miyazaki.

yeah i read that Sony had trademarked the name which is pretty convincing, this just proves it, cheers phastings. Now add that to references to the 'nexus', its being developed by FROM, its a PS4 exclusive and Miyazaki just happened to be 'ordered' from the development of DS2 onto a secret project by the powers that be (Bamco, Sony) and things really seem to be aligning.

Actually it DOESNT prove it, that patent register is being known for some months now, yes, there is a game called DESTINY OF SPIRITS, but nobody knows who's developing and what is about. The image claiming the game is being made by FROM was originated on 4chan, so again, don't get your hopes up

right, I agree that while this patent's authenticity does not necessarily determine/prove that the leak of the game synopsis and developer is not a fabrication in itself, it is at least some evidence to further verify and is consistent.

All speculation at this point; Im just trying to provide any information that surfaces that seems legit.

given that the game domain has been known for some time now and there has been no information until recently is promising, as E3 is upon us and promotion would make sense. More importantly it means there exists no conflicting information as to what the game is about or who may be developing and looks like a leak of something they plan to reveal. Again, as someone else said: to be taken with a big grain of salt.

Right, I was too lol! I was suspicious of the bullet points sounding exactly like a des sequel, and legal conflicts that might make such a thing impossible, but must have been wearing my rose tinted glasses. Bloody hell.
