I think it's the male Bronies. They believe that when female Bronies use the name Pegasister over Brony, they are almost using it as a bit of an out (a girl liking a girl's show, albeit one aimed at young girls) which the male Bronies do not have. And they feel that by giving into the "easier" name (don't really know how else to put it) I guess, that they help perpetuate the stigma (older people, of any gender, watching a kid's show) and lend credence to the notion that there is something wrong with the notion of male fans of MLP.
