Minor forum issue

I've been encountering a minor issue with the forums for some time now and decided to post about it, to see if there are others like me. Especially since it happened to me three times in past hour.

Sometimes, when I read a thread, or use the "Mark all forums read" option, all new posts remain unread. This happened so far only once on PC, but it happens a few times per week on PS3.

For example, I always click on all threads I want to read and then use "Mark all forums read". I read what I want to, reply, etc and then leave the site, or turn the browser off. When I return, all of the previous threads are marked as unread. This happens even though nobody posted in these threads, or the last post is mine.

Just to make sure, I have cookies and java enabled.

Is this something you get Sent? It was fine this morning. I'm getting threads that I viewed saying not viewed and these X boxes everywhere. Even where you log out is an extra X'd out box

 

The recurrent issues you both are having are due to the PS3, unfortunately, providing an unsupported and limited functionality web browser as it relates to updates and plug ins. And frankly from a web security standpoint I would strongly recommend not using that browser to access sites where you log in for services. I know you guys have mentioned it's your primary browser option but the reality is that browser is poorly built and poorly supported and it is going to perform temperamentally at best. At worst it's going to expose you. Just a caution if you are using it for personal sites etc.

Twig, those X's instead of pictures are due to your browser, or PS3 being unable to proces images so that the console doesn't freee. This will happen to you if you have simultaneously open several windows with a large number of images, or had them open before. Go to Tools and selecet Delete Cache. It helps. And if not, then turn the Browser on and off.

PS3 browser is even worse than IE and that's saying something. I thought it's gonna be a problem with the browser, but wanted to make sure.

Sent I did delete cache, restarted ps3 and it still happened. I only had 1 page open. So far it seems good.

E, I wish I could use something else but can't afford a new pc. And if I stop it means no more forum and I'm NOT ready to leave yet

I even lost the chat. I got the view full screen link but couldn't log on cause it wasn't there lol
Also went bk to the original blk and orange forum but it wouldn't let me post

That sounds like a connection issue. Your browser loses connection, perhaps due to lag, or unstable net and it shows you the page unfinished.

Nope. Nothing wrong with connection. Had it tested and I decided to go wired
