The new poise table Empty The new poise table

Post by Animaaal Fri Jun 28, 2013 12:00 pm

I just wanted to say whoever converted it to a chart did a GREAT job. Hats off. I'll have some more values to be adding to that in the next few weeks (this weekend hopefully).

    Anyways, CHEERS! Looks great! Joy

I don't know if it was made a couple weeks ago or whatever, but its been about that long since I referenced it.

I just wanted to say good job to those still updating the wiki.

It actually hasn't been updated in quite awhile.

But yeah, it's a great reference for people who don't know all the poise values. I still reference it constantly.

I'd like to test out a few poise values to add to the table, but I can't find the time nor the help.

And actually, I just recently found out that the Club does not break the same amount of poise as the other hammers.

    Learned it the hard way in an Arty fight. ;_;

I might take you up on that this weekend if you're not doing anything. My PSN and Skype is Mr_Animaaal.

I'm on during the day and week, but I usually can't Skype or pay attention to chats until the evenings.

I'm on Eastern Standard time. Maybe I'll see you this weekend then. Bow

There's really only three I'm curious about, that being:
    Hand Axe
    Club
Thorn's Armour (Does anyone know this?!)

FinPeku gets the credit for it.  He approached me with the idea to table it out for ease of use and to make it more of our own and I said "go to town".  He did a great job on it!  There are a lot of us still tinkering on cleanup with the wiki, and there is still good stuff to be added.

I wanted to ask for the longest time...
The Poise Table shows only R1 attacks. What about R2 attacks, kick attacks (like Curved and Piercing Swords have) and jumping attack?
    How much does those break?

I'm curious about the thorn armor too.  Such as do you break more poise with the thorn gauntlets when using a fist weapon?

I'm a lot more interested in spells than anything else though.

    ***edit***

    Then cheers to Fin! cheers

    Thanks dude.Bow

Just a guess, but since Thorn armor staggers guys with 0 Poise, it should do at least 1 Poise damage, no? However if it adds adittional Poise damage to fists and kick is the real cookie.

^I'm sorta thinking the same thing Sentiel.

But let's say it does 5 poise damage.

With thorn gauntlets equipped, a Rolling claw-->claw r1 would deal 50 poise damage then...right?!?! (42 if its only 1 point).

I'm sure I'll figure it out this weekend...unless the wine goes down fast...in which case my "video proof" could be well.....nvm.....

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it.

I am not entirely sure about whips, hand axe or wog but those values are what I always assumed. Also, it might be worth adding that wog will always stagger but under 21 poise, it will knock down. Also, i don't know if black knight sword deals the same amount of poise damage as other greatswords.

About R2 attacks, I haven't done any testing but from experience they usually deal the same amount of poise damage as r1 attacks.

Seriously though, its nice to see the website still being cared for and refined. The table was a very nice touch. This place gets a lot of TLC, its refreshing.
