Bow backstabs

They're insta-kills?? are you kidding me!? :x one backstab killed me with 1824 hp... bull crap -_-

Edit: why would i be voted down for thinking that a weapon with around 370 AR doing 1800 on a backstab without hornet ring is bull? :| My rapier can do that much damage with a riposte only when buffed with sunlight blade and hornet ring

Don't know why you got voted down but, no, bow backstabs are definitely not OHK!

They are glitched though. If you use them with the Dragon Torso, they do broken amounts of damage. I'm not sure, but I believe the hornet's ring actually negates this effect! I think it's just dragon torso and bow bs. You can stack it with Power Within and the Red Tearstone Ring too--but then you're just in fantasy-land damage, way beyond anyone's HP.

I've been BSed while bowing. I learned to get some distance before bowing. That way, I can get the heck out of there if he rushes me.

Still gonna bow though.

My bad, seems you can use the hornet's ring. But the key is the dragon torso.

Not the bowing animation, a Bow as in a bow and arrow, the weapon. Some guy was using the dragon torso, ring of fog & pharis's bow and OHK'd me.

Yeah, it's unbelievable how much BS damage that a bow does.

The arrows are holding those bows back.

Get a two Handed Chaos +5 Heavy Hitting weapon, watch your number outshine theirs haha.

I've never actually run into this issue, then again when I see a dragon try this I just nuke the hell out of them and BS them before they can even try it. If you see a dragon with a bow, shoot first and ask questions later. If all they are going for is backstabs and don't bow first, why even bow to them?

2-handing increases critical damage a little bit.

2 Handing Elemental weapons doesn't increase the damage iirc.
This is because when you 2H something you are making the STr requirement 2/3 the normal, so scaling becomes better if it scales at all. Which elemental weapons do not.

False sir! I just tested it, chaos rapier R1 did 230 one-handed on the treent things in the forest and did 299 two-handed. And no i did not get a counter.

2H an elemental weapon slightly increases the regular attack damage too.

I don't know what "iirc" means. I know the strength stats aren't wrong, i meant you were about elemental wepons' damage not increasing when being held with two hands.

My approximation was based on me simply not noticing any damage difference with my Chaos Darksword backstab on a Black knight between 2H or 1H.
