Renewing my interest!

Okay guys, feel I'm beginning to lose interest in Dark Souls, and even demons after only one play through and a bit..

What do you think I should do with this?

Leave it alone for a while?

Try something I haven't done in Dark or focus on Demon's?

any suggestions are very welcome

Try challenges.

focus on demon's and go out on a black phanton hunting spree on valley of deffilement 5-2 on pure black wolrd tendency (you'll hunt the griant depraved ones in NG+) good luck my friend

do you have issues as a result of those things or something?

Oh man that meat cleaver phantom on NG+ is so nasty.

Stay on the forums, but take a break from the souls series. I find that if one plays something for way too long, it takes even longer to find anything enjoyable about it again. Playing games in increments with breaks between them helps one to re-appreciate the details of it again I find.

ahaha i guess I'll say I had no intention of leaving the forums so abruptly, even if the game doesn't suck me in as much as in the past the community is still enjoyable

I think maybe yeah that would be an idea, though i think I'd still attend fight club when I can as that is really really fun

Play ME3 for a week, get bored, come back to Dark souls.

you want a good distraction form the soul series? get saint row 3 if you like sand box/crazy/over the top/"what the hell were the developers smoking they made this game" action

other than that i suggest trying skyrim a bit more and go exploring every bit of the map you can...how do you think i keep playing the damn thing?



or if you really want a challenge try to kill those red eye knights on demon's souls 1-5 (black phanton form red eye knights) withouth a shield and one-handing a normal club

you'll get one shoted to the ground if you don't dodge quick enough


and yes i have an issue with giant depraved ones...it involves tight spaces,not being able to move in the swamp and a club to the forehead due to not being able to evade due to space or swamp

walk outside and get some sunshine and enjoy the great outdoors with friends and or family

Do what I did. Put up the Souls games for a while, and finish all those games you would have been playing instead if Dark/Demon's Souls hadn't been there

Or you could start some self-imposed challenge runs, such as Caestus-only, [Cross]bow-only runs, or level 20 runs. Those kept me going for a good long while after my first interest crash in Dark Souls.

Jolly Coop is good too. I have a build specifically designed for Anor and New Londos. But, I spend more time doing PvP. It is what drives me.

Ill excuse your ignorance of the weather by the fact you live in australia, but it is dreadful here (even if I am going doing things such as standing at the side of a rugby pitch twice this week alone, how fun )

and honestly I don't play as much as your response implies, seriously the things you people think of me

though reaper i think I'm leaning towards that now, though there isn't a lot of games i wanna do that with.. maybe I'll purchase the PS3 ratchet and clanks and gladiator and have a while playing through every single one in order that sounds fun.

yeah emergence, that will 100% kindle my want of playing The Souls games

though I do intend to update the wiki a bit soonish

I would recommend taking a break, not abandoning it, but withhold yourself from it.

In my opinion, doing challenges, or doing something different to reaffirm your interest in the game, when your already losing the intrest, is going to wear the game out more quickly, and you'll eventually get bored.

Take a break, and let the inevitable withdrawal pull you back into the game

dont stand at the side of the rugby pitch ... get in there, ruck some skulls, stomp some fools... get dirty

yeah sorry I forget I live in the lucky country with beautiful beaches and weather.... and women !!

But a holiday from the game could be a good thing and then some self made challenges as people have mentioned here are also a good idea ....something maybe you have never really tried before ? or have not had the testicular endowment to try ?

either way I'm sure you will get the bug back soon...
