I'd like to understand how the parameter ratings work, I understand that E is lowest and S is highest, but I'm wondering what type of bonus is received from each one. This will help me decide which weapons I do and don't want to use, and which woulds would work better with different enchantments.

Any calculators out there for weapon bonuses?

sadly i dont think there are at the moment, but i don't think that the differences whilst in the parameters of the letters are so large that it should change your playstyle
also just ask soem guys on here to tel you what they think about weapons and im sure we can help you decide too

Well the weapons I enjoy using are the Claymore, the Iatio, the Winged Spear. I'd like to try out the Balder Side sword and one of the Rapiers eventually and the Uchigatana, I'd also love to try out the fist weapons, the Claw has my eye.. I've been going for a Dex/int build, finally hit 50 int and now going to work on 40 dex.
I realize that eventually the Katanas will be outclassed by weapons with two parameter bonuses at a higher levels.
I just wonder which weapons should be Enchanted, which should be brought to +15, and which should be Fire/Lightning. The latter would work best with weapons with lower Parameter bonuses, or ones I don't receive bonuses from (Strength weapons). Enchanted + Lightning/fire would probably be my best bet until I hit a higher dex level.
Then I wonder by attack types, Is it better to have a weapon that specializes in one type, I.E. Iaitos Slash, or the Uchigatanas Slash/Thrust style?
For weapons like the Mailbreaker with its high Crit% damage bonus, and the Bandits Knife, do they play better with the Backstab/Parry-Riposte style of play? Are they ever outclassed by weapons that provide a higher base damage but with lower critical hit ratings? Or a higher base damage weapon paired with the hornet ring?
I apologize for all of these questions. I've been trying to test these out myself, but am lacking in the shards/stats departments.

Im not a pro or master by any means but i think i can help you figure out a few things. about rapiers/bandits knife, if you are good at backstabbing/parrying than these weapons are the best for that but i think they are more useful in pvp than pve.
as far as attack types, its all about personal preference and the weapons moveset. those should be the determining factors. personally speaking, moveset is the first thing i look at when choosing a weapon. then i look at scaling to see how ill need to spec to take advantage of its strengths.
lastly, experiment and see what fits your playstyle the best. hope this helped.

I've been working at it since my last time on the forums, and been trying out different combos.
The only enchants i can't use right now are chaos and fire.
I did find the claw lacking though =/ Would be nice if it had a higher crit multiplier.
I was thinking of making a Sorc,, lvl 35 with 44 intelligence using the dusk crown + bellowing dragoncrest ring and the TCC for PvP. Only two shots with CSS but damn it would have to hurt.
