good early gear?

so obviously get the drake sword early, im also going to kill the merchant for his uchigatana and get ring of fap from the golden guy.

what shield and armor set should i get early on? im a pyromancer btw

grass crest shield, lucky black knight shield, eagle shield

elite knight armor, gold hemmed armor, stone armor - I would mix these ones before getting to Sens

that stuff isnt to earlyt tho, elite knight and grass crest i believe are from darkroot. could i make it that far in just pyro set.

Winged spear from the firelink shrine(down in the graveyard) is very helpfull early in pve. The shield in the parish(forget its name but its red and blue) is also a good early shield.

heater shield?

Well normally in blighttown you would be wearing starting gear or at least elite knight set, the only place early than blighttown is the depths, and you get nothing there but Spider shield

Oh yeah, particularly with a suicide run you can get the elite. Dodging and using the drake special attack will take out the demon by the blacksmith. From there the trees should go down with fire. You might have trouble with the stone guy near the Elite set but you could probably run in and grab it quick. For the stone set, if you can afford the 20k to open the gate you might be able to sneak or run by the offline hunters to get that with a suicide run too. Ooooooorrrr.....if you like super fun times......go back to the asylum to get the rusted iron ring and go the other way to get the stone set. The crystal golems and hydra might be tricky but I was able to run past them VERY early in the game with the hardest past getting up the ladder by the hydra. The rolly cats can be cheap tricked making the Stone set accessible.

balders shield has awesome stability, dragon cres/crest shields are really good. i would go with the reg knight armor, its front of the hydra in darkroot basin.

Buy the Caduceus Kite Shield or the Tower Kite Shield from Andre the blacksmith. (1000 souls each.) They both have better stability and elemental res than the knight shield and weigh less to boot. As for weapons, well whatever suits your play style.

- Gravelord Sword (catacombs--you can skip all the skeles and rotating bridges with a single drop! You'll need to get the Eues of Death from behind the titanite Demon for the coffin to bring you to Nito though.)

- Stone Armor Set (all you need is the Crest of Artorias)

- Ninja Flip Ring (Crest of Artorias, join forest hunters, kick ninja off cliff)

- Havel's Ring

With the rings equipped, you can wear the stone legs and gloves, and the gold hemmed shirt and hood as soon as you've killed queelag, plus the gavelord sword and a heater shield, you could beat the entire game with that gear! And you can easily get all this within half an hour of starting the game.
