How to defeat players who have endgame gear and kill low level, low gear players who usually have little idea of what they're doing because it's their first playthrough with said endgame gear?

I'm having a lot of trouble with players who have endgame gear and kill low level, low gear players who usually have little idea of what they're doing because it's their first playthrough with said endgame gear, can anyone help me?

I'd suggest playing hollow or offline to avoid your encounters with these kinds of players.

Well the Bandit's knife is a way to deal with the bad ones, especially the more light armor ended ones since you can stunlock them.
Using force near edges is also an option.
However the common suggestion would really be, dashboard/home. Sign out, and force them out of your world. Block them and put them on the block list so you shouldn't end up facing them again. Try to play offline until you reach a higher level.
Fighting people with vastly superior weaponry requires you to be on a skill level vastly superior to them. Statistically that means that 75% of players would lose such fights at the very least. As such, try not to be in a position where you can end up in such a fight.
The other option is to summon low level people with powerful gear, and sit back as they kill invaders.

Or there's always pyromancy if you're willing to farm a lot of souls, it's really strong and can be used at max damage for any level.

As Serious said, play offline, or hollow. At least until you have means to defend yourself against these guys.
Another option is to summon phantoms. Lots of them will have similar gear. If all else fails, you can always high tail it to a boss, or run off to die as close to bonfire as possible, so you don't lose your bloodstain.
Use gravity and bleeding as much as you can if you want to kill them. Even a +0 Reinforced Club on SL 1 can do a three hit combo finished with a vicious backstab, which is likely to activate Bleedout on one of it's hits, resulting in huge damage.
Even though I just said that. Don't be too focused on winning. It's not always possible to win. Instead, try to focus on surviving, or minimising the damage done to you (Souls and Humanity wise).
I hereby nominate this thread for the "Longest thread name" award.

Backstab/Kick them off a cliff.
You can only be invaded if you're human, but you can also summon while you're human. Either summon more pla myers to help you or don't become a human. Either one works fine although the latter is probably slightly more dangerous. It's a toss-up between having no help or possibly getting invaded.

I usually just run through areas ASAP and rely on whatever human/NPC summons that happen to be along the way.
Usually their invasion window isn't even 1 minute long, before I could just get into fog gate compared to where most people invade.
But yes, playing in offline mode while human form will let you summon NPCs to help and not have to deal with invaders of any variety.

Like everybody said, play offline or play as hollow. Play offline as long as you're not pc, since pc players can't play offline. Try to get a good fast weapon and buff it with resins if invaded. Or as someone said above, go for pyro and try to max out your hand soon as possible. I love chaos fire at low level

You can play offline if you know firewalls. In the advanced settings just add an outbound rule to block DATA.exe. Can enable it whenever you want to play offline.twigsterxd wrote:Like everybody said, play offline or play as hollow. Play offline as long as you're not pc, since pc players can't play offline. ^ Yeah, cliffs. Or get a phantom or two and corner-stunlock them to death. Usually after they get below half HP they freak out and, instead of remembering the fact that they're toting gear that can one-hit kill you, they start panic rolling and run out of stamina before you do.
Or, better yet, find an anti-griefer. Maybe I'm just lucky but if I idle around summon sign hotspots for a moment or two in the Burg/Parish I nearly always find at least one guy in snazzy armor carrying a lightning weapon. These fellas are on equal terms with most griefers, they're just of a noticeably kinder disposition.
Or... (and I say this as a longtime griefer) run like hell. I've actually had multiple people get to the boss door before I could get 'em. Most of them just get an arrow to the back from a +5 Chaos composite bow but every once in a while one of them gets lucky.
If all of the above fails, you should still get a phantom or two, even if they have crappy gear. At the very least they can serve as cannon fodder. Just gotta run faster than the other guy, right?

This is very sound advice. I find these days it's best to remain hollow during the early stages of the game but if you feel the need to be in human form you should move as quickly as you can.OminousSquaffle wrote:

Stay hollow and clear out an area, take your time discovering and grabbing items, figure out where the boss door is and once you're satisfied with that then reverse hollowing, summon one or two phantoms and move swiftly to the boss, it's not worth the effort trying to fight griefers and you will improve your own PvE skills more by taking on an area alone without the help of phantoms.

get a chaos fire weapon, pyros, crown of dusk and the dried finger. dress like a noob and get a surprise backstab with a bandits knife on your invaders. then you just keep the pressure on him so he can't heal. most people who have invaded me at low levels with endgame have been surprised by the damage of a chaos weapon. that often causes them to make a tactical error.
