fun with Reah

as a non-faith player, i usually kill Petrus as soon as i hit Lordran. so yesterday, Reah and her bodyguards show up. i take the soldiers out and decide to practice parrying with Reah. i put on the hornet ring and go at it with bare fists. this went on for probably 20 minutes, with Reah casting heal whenever she got low on HP.

a sign that i've maybe been playing too much of this game?

I say the sparring lesson should help her in her quest. After that she should be able to solo Pinwheel for the Rite of Kindling. Good work!

I was doing the same with hollow reah in the archives the other day, fists only, and I learned that she is able to block with her left hand! Hacker alert...

Sounds fun.

I do generally do that with reah now, i just beat her up like a good misogynist

Well, I like to put a little RP into the game.
Both my main chars are dedicated faith/sunbros thus in the game Reah of Thorolund for me is a holy figure, that said, i would relate greatly with nico and vince on wanting to simply protect her from harm rather than thinking how she looks under the dress, like Petrus would
So obviously chopping her down with my claymore would not give me any gaming satisfaction whatsoever as i look at it as somehow betraying my covenant and the purpose my char has in the game in general.

That's cowardly I only bully Petrus because he a d-bag and When vince and nico go hollow I parry them over and over and over again. I only kill reah when she goes hollow

When you rescue Reah, one of the first things out of Petrus' mouth is that she is up in the Parish all alone and helpless, and points out (I'm paraphrasing) that one could do with her as they wish. I believe he laughs too. My take is he wants you to take care of the problem of her blabbing that he's not such a good priest but the way he says it makes me think that he's not just interested in murder.

this thread just gave me an idea what would happen (if its even possible) if you save reah in the TotG talk to her in the parish then either attack her and aggro her to firelink in front of petrus and see if he attacks her then or aggro petrus and bring him up the elevator to reah in the parish where he kills her in the first place worth trying at least?

Interesting, I tried to see what would happen if I left the firekeeper soul in the parish where she prays and I'm almost certain she takes it after you save her in ToG. I've been playing a lot between different characters, so I could be wrong and need to test it again.
