So, I don't know what's going on. But as I'm trying to host, my PSN menu doesn't work anymore, my controller does. And none of you guys are on my friend's list, but a ton of random people with japanese names are. What is going on?

EDIT: Now I can't sign in, but there is an invader in my world, and he refuses to fight me. I'm so confused.

An invader that refuses to fight? What's the point of invading if you don't want to fight?

EDIT: I tried out my new Estoc Build last night. And, yes, the Estoc is my favorite weapon. It is a 40/40 build (40 Str, 40 Dex), so it can use any strength and Dex weapon, and have the max damage possible (or should I say practical) without buffing.

I really liked it. The power is noticeable compared to my other builds. As simple run R1 can take off 500 HP, if both connect. Same as the flip back R1. The riposte usually hits for over 1,000. I have a GScythe as a backup, which regularly hits for over 500 damage.

The only disadvantage is I don't have a magical buff. But, most people aren't buffing in FC anyway, so I don't really need a buff. I carry Pine resin in my quick menu to buff if my opponent does.

That was a nice build! I haven't used the estoc, but you have mastered it pretty well. I don't do well with rapiers (I tried riccards and rapier) but no estoc. When you were talking about 40-40 I assumed you meant 40 dex 40 end lol. ThAt estoc is fast though And has nice range. Mind sharing stats with me so I can try out that build Sometime? I'm always up for new non-buff builds:). I have company this weekend but I may be on late tonight again. I want to get in some decent fighting this week as I may be scarce for a while after Friday (xenoblade chronicles comes out and I have really been looking forward to it). I have an obligation to fulfill from the other wiki tonight as well so it may be late. Also, a friend from there may join in this evening. I explained the rules and invited him to the chat. He's a good dude and excellent at pvp. His name is Ferretstrike (I know you know him Reim, this is for everyone else reading). If you guys see him tonight, please welcome him in. If he sticks he will be a great guy to have in FC!!! Hopefully I can get on tonight. (lol just noticed my iPad autocorrects rapier to rapist! ). On another note, the fury sword is pretty sweet and translated well into my chaos sword build;). For fight club only though because mo summoned a fully tanked smough bkga random turtling a shield. I tried fighting with FC rules and could not damage him. I wanted so bad to practice roll bs, but I didn't and got destroyed lol.

Question for Rant or anyone else who can answer.

First to Rant!!! Bravo on keeping the rules simple and back to basics.. I have been really looking forward to F.C. but unfortunately have been preoccupied tring to help a friend lvl up.

Ok Now the question: How do you feel about elemental weapons in F.C. I normally used + 15 and buffed but since my new toon doesn't have any buff yet I started usting Elemental weapons to try and stay somewhat on par with the buffs.

My concern is in F.C. if the fight last longer than 60 sec the buffs are gone, which may give my elemental weapons an unfair advantage and since I built my toon a certain way carrying two weapons will seriously slow him down. or should i just wait to get the buffs ?

it's cool, most people dont buff anyway, unless it's a special event. the only ything that i dont like is vit builds theyre so annoying to fight, takes forever for you to kill them.

is it still possible to join this FC?

Where in the depths and what bodied to spawn from? I assume the hidden one but it is also not far from the burg and across the bridge.

The Depths tonight? I better kill Capra so I can host there too. By the way, does anyone mind me trying out recording fights? I have to use an actual camera, so I have you host to record a fight. It probably won't be very high quality, but I just wanted to test it out.

Just a heads up guys, there is another FC in the depths sometimes that I've joined in on, so we might be mingling with some new people. I've also seen people trying to farm them before as well.

I don't know what happened with all of the weird crap going on with my PSN, then my camera battery dying just as I was about to record an awesome fight one of you guys was having, to missing out on some GL research, family troubles, a lot of things last night just really set me off. So I was invading farmers last night in the Pit.

Once - I meant 40 str and 40 dex. Since most people don't buff, and I don't use magic/miracles/pyro, I don't need to put any stats into Faith or Int. Many dex weapons scale a little with str, so I decided to make a 40/40 to max out AR. Anything above 40, and there is barely an effect on AR.

It's simple, and I was really happy with it last night.

My stats are:
SL 120
Warrior
45/*/40/40/40/*/*/*

I carry charcoal resin, just in case.

ted - the only advantage elemental weapons have are increased vitality (and maybe a higher critical damage). +15 weapons will almost always outdamage elementals.

Now, at 99 vitality, your max HP is 2622. At 50 Vitality, your max HP is 2070. You have to decide if 49 extra stats are worth the 600 HP.

So, it is a trade off. Increased AR vs increased HP. Personally, I prefer the +15s. They are stronger than elementals, even when the buff is gone.

Yeah, I've been going through NG+s to get more SLB attunments for one of my toons, and I was surprised today to find out that my Iaito +15 outdamaged my Lightning Uchi +4. The Lightning Uchi has a higher damage rating in the stats menu, but in terms of actual damage on enemies, the Iaito +15 is stronger. And I only have 30 Dex...

Dual damage type reductions my friend. It's because the physical and lightning damages of the Lightning one are being checked against an enemy's physical and lightning defenses, but only the physical damage of the +15 is being checked against the physical defenses. To throw out some very off numbers to convey the concept, the Lightning one is having 20% of it's damage being reduced (10% physical, 10% lightning), but the +15 is only have 10% of its damage being reduced.
