So, I have the Raptor from ZG, which I'm pretty sure isn't in game anymore. Haven't played for around a year. I'm never going to play world of warcraft again probably, and never will I ride this mount again. But I swear if Blizzard ever loses my account info...

The Thread of Shame
I've started a bit of a conversation/exchange of jokes about World of Warcraft in the anouncement thread, rather than continue to be off topic and show my shame in public, I've decided again to put my shame into a hidden area where no one will ever look, the Off Topic Section. This thread is dedicated to "witty" and "Satirical" jokes about world of warcraft, or general talk about it.

Re: The Thread of Shame
My post of how to win things.
This is just a little tip for the harcore players who are looking to win in Arathi Basin.
Get on your Warrior (cause we all have one) and get one of your other hardcore friends that want to win.
Make your friend stand on top of a cliff, so you can jump off and intervene him.
If it doesn't work just keep doing it over and over again, even if it takes the entire match to do it.
If you are a loser and just want to give up I guess you can just Herioc Leap to the ground.
That is how to win Arathi Basin.
But seriously though, I died so many times trying to intervene to the top of a cliff whilst falling off.

Did you ever get to see the mechano hog in action? A person can pick up a flag then get in the side car, boy was that hilarious. Fastest flag caps I've ever seen. Outside of the hacker who mysteriously vanished mid flag run.

Why I never made an engineer I'll never know. Alright, time to get the twenty rare different pieces to make something, just to level the skill up one point.
Ah WSG at the start of Cata at low levels. Shadowstep on a level 12 rogue? Hello Graveyard!

Re: The Thread of Shame
So many FOTM rogues... It was crazy.
I made my Rogue before then.... He was still a low level, and when I started one shotting people I became one of them...
There is just something about one shotting somebody, it just kinda makes you cackle... Maniacally..

Re: The Thread of Shame
I played as a Paladin for a time, and still could be one shot by a Rogue. Funny enough as a Holy Paladin I once one shot a Warrior holding the flack, Holy shock man. It's one hell of a drug that's so easy to get addicted to.

Speaking of Holy Shock... Healing on a Paladin is the easiest thing to do... Till end game, not planning on ever healing any end game stuff... Ever.

Re: The Thread of Shame
I remember during Wrath it was pretty easy, to heal. Getting into a raid where there wasn't already one, that was the real trouble.

Re: The Thread of Shame
I actually wasn't all that big on Nilla raiding, I didn't do a whole lot during Nilla, but BC was when I really got into raiding. Wrath was, alright. My favourite raid every is actually from that expansion, Ulduar, but the rest of it was pretty meh. I think my main issue during Wrath was the community, it really took a nose dive towards the end of Wrath.

I think the difficulty going down brought more casuals in, nothing wrong with casuals but from my experience a lot of them were douchebags.
I blame dungeon finder.

Re: The Thread of Shame
Yeah, Dunegeon finder was quite a debacle. The issue came in that no one really needed to have a good reputation anymore, need gear, do a random, you get it, never see these people again. Need a reputation to get into a guild? Nope, just achievements and Gear Score. I remember having to earn a name, making guides, talking with people, solving disputes between guilds, actually working. Now, "You've killed Lady Deathwhisper? Alright you can do ICC>"
Tolvo-"But I'm a well known tank on the server, I've been in these guilds, helped with this. I taught you how to tank man, I've cleared Yogg Hard Modes and been raiding since Nilla. I don't have the Achievement because I need to get into the raid first to actually get it."
RL-"No Achievement, no run."

Re: The Thread of Shame
I never really had to deal with those situations, I started playing with a few friends and they got their friends to play, so we started our own guild.

Re: The Thread of Shame
I was typically an in between guild agent, I worked on keeping relations between guilds open. So there were times where I was merely guildless, and if I wanted to Raid I'd have to try with some of the people in trade. Which, I wouldn't say PuG's were always this bad, but in wrath they became terrible. I remember there also came about the, "We wiped twice. I'm out" mentality. No one had patience for anyone else, I remember one such instance we had a new player that just didn't get Yogg Saron when we were doing him, he kept running through the clouds, but he got better each time. We had a shaman that said he would no stay in the raid unless we kicked the other guy. So, I kicked the Shaman and brought in another new person. Ten wipes later, everyone had just killed 25 man Yogg Saron. It was a great experience for those two, they beat the odds. I always love to give people chances, and in Wrath many had a huge issue with me trying to teach people fights rather than just bring in people who already knew it. The other raid leaders could take them and just do the same old same old. Me, I wanted to create more experienced raiders. There are some things I miss about the game.

Re: The Thread of Shame
Some of these are pretty good.
Rail, whenever you're playing DS do you ever get WoW flashbacks? Every now and then before entering a fog gate I feel like doing a ready check, or when I'm doing co-op that I'm trying to tank a boss when I should be dodging their attacks haha.

I get WoW flash backs every time I play DS, having to always worry about my stats.
I need to chill out though, a few misplaced points isn't going to kill me.
