Power Within

I've been wondering what exatly the power within does? I've never used it is it any good?

Increases all your damage (weapons and spells) by 40%. Drains HP depending on your magic adjustment.



Edit: Also increases your stamina regeneration.

How much is the health drain?

I really don't know, it's a mathematical formula depending on the Mag Adj of the Pyromancy Flame. So it's best to use it with un-upgraded Pyro Flame.

i have a question about it. does it wear out over time or does it keep going until you are dead?

It wears over time but it last a lot spur. Are you planning to use it for your Dragon???? Hum.....

ive been using it since you told me to use it or the fire tempest. the damage is over the top when i combine it with the dragon roar buff, usually leaves them with a third of their health if they don’t die immediately. except for the ones who dodge and let me kill myself :x

I think the best summary is the same one I use to clarify what PCP does. It literally turns you into the hulk, but your on a timer before your Effed

You deal around 30-40% increased damage, but take around 90% of your health in damage over time. But, if you wear the ring that causes spells to last longer, this damage is actually spread out over more time, making you last longer with more health. With Sanctus on your back, this becomes such a minute damage that you can easily survive, given that you typically want to two hand weapons with this, you don't need to actually have the faith to use Sanctus properly, it still gives you the healing aura with eight faith. So you can have it on your back, two handing a Lifehunt Scythe say, with the ring causing you to practically lose no health in combat and deal massive damage for extra time.

thats what is gonna make it fun. i am going to equip the tearstone ring and activate PW but start at full health so if the battle takes too long or i get hit a lot PW is going to activate the ring making the battle short, ending with either me killing them or PW killing me.

Actually no. You use PW to eventually activate RTSR if a fight drags out. Or you can be a boss & activate it yourself.

Dont forget to use a standard pyro glove instead of upgraded or it really eats your HP away

PW will kill you, if you don't heal during it. Use a base pyro hand. An upgraded one will kill you faster. It lasts about 100 seconds and takes 1% of your health per second (with an unupgraded pyro hand). With the Lingering Dragoncrest ring, that time is extended, so it doesn't kill you as fast.

It is tricky to use in PvP, since all someone has to do is turtle until your buff wears off, and hit you while you heal.

Also, saving at a bonfire does not turn PW off. It'll keep going.

Just did some testing PW + RTSR + RSFB + CoD + 50Faith + WOTG = +1600 damage. Imagine someone switching out for a talisman last minute during pvp lmao.
