Priscillas Dagger

I have NEVER bleed something out with this. I killed a Black knight with it at +0, I killed the Taurus demon with one without bleeding it out. Does the bleed need to be kick-started by something else? Does it take a whole lot of hits to bleed something out? I've just never successfully done it.

Anyone have better luck with it? Am I missing something?

Try on the Crow Demons of Painted World. Tell me how many hits it takes. I use it when my bleed gauge is high from the Lifehunt, to increase opponents bleed gauge without affecting mine.

are you sure you didnt notice the bleed take effect? its just blood its hard to notice unless you know what it looks like. you have to build up the bleed bar of your enemy so you have to hit them a bunch of times in small amount of time or it doesnt build up.

The bleed is 20 pts per stike. And after the bleed hits it does 50% health, my guess is that those enemies have high bleed resistance.

I'm not incompetent enough NOT to know when it should, this isn't some noobish "What's bleed?!" thing, I'm simply pointing out that I haven't seen the '500' damage jump I should see when using it on an enemy.

It's like no one reads the OP, I killed a Black knight without criticals with just that, and never got it to bleed.

I've never gotten bleed to trigger on a knight. Not sure if they do. The harpy suggestion is good. They bleed easy. Also, from what I've seen bleed takes a certain amount of life and not a percentage. Stray demon was good testing since he bleeds well and has a lot of life. In ng++ it takes big chunks but not half for sure which I think Yarxov was stating too.

it takes more hits than normal bleed weapons to have the bleed effect but it does alot more damage. i also use it in conjuction with my lifehunt scythe

Bosses effected by bleed do not take the full bleed damage, but it does work on other players and some enemies. I'm not sure of the list, but I am pretty sure that the non boss Taurus demon can be effected and it pretty much kills him by the time it works. It works on the Asylum, Stray, and Firesage Demons, but its not the full bleed effect.

I managed to get the bleed off of Priscilla's dagger on the club barbarians in blighttown, and I think it also worked on the fire spiders there too. All I remember is it took a ton of hits to actually activate the bleed effect, so it's definitely slow.

the dagger is realy rather useless i was experimenthin with bleed weapons recently and unless evary dude i invaded wore the bloodbite and used a res build i never got it to work with the dagger the lifehunt scythe is a bit better as it dose some damage i think bleed is a bit underpowered in drs
