Well, this is embarrassing. I fought for hours trying to parry and riposte, to no avail. Is anyone out there who thinks they could tutor a parry noob either via PM or via redstone invasion and practice?

Re: Personal Parry trainer
If they're on xbox, I'd also really appreciate some training... I'm kinda terrible at it (never landed a parry in pvp). I'd trade parry training for people testing weapon movesets on me. I'm good at being average. Or am I average at being average? Grrr...

Tao, are you on Xbox or PS3? I can help you with some tips, and we could probably meet up so I could help you further.

Re: Personal Parry trainer
If you are on PS3 I actually already do parry training with people, so I'd just need to know your SL if that's the case.

Re: Personal Parry trainer
Sorry to take too long to respond. Real life and all that. I have three charaters. Sls 17, 58, and 120. It doesn't matter which one but I am on PS3, and am available from 10am to 3pm EST. Anyone in this lvl range and time zone?

Re: Personal Parry trainer
The forest can be really fun to parry practice with fists in, go in as a host, don't be in the forest covenant, and throw down useless items like throwing knifes and the multiples of weapons you have, leave 2 weapons on your L1 and R1 offhand and wait for an invader.
When an forest hunter comes show him your empty fists, then bow. If he unequips himself you can start practicing to parry his fists. I did this for about 15 minutes until some new hunter invaded. Then the other guy stepped back to let us duel and I promptly died haha.
The offhand weapons are to make it easier to go into serious battle when your parry hunter tires out and switches to his weapons or when a second invader comes in.
