    Divine/Occult weapons Empty Divine/Occult weapons

Post by Knight Alundil Mon Apr 09, 2012 7:46 pm

I'm supremely sorry if this has already been adressed within this forum however i'm a long time reader so i'm pretty sure it hasn't...

Basically what's the deal here; I've heard that Divine weapons do more damage to invaders of your world, and you do more damage to humans you've invaded with Occult weapons(!?)

First off is this true? And if it is can anyone shed some more stats on it??

Also, if it is true, how does this pan out when you're a gravelord? Do you still count as the human so you should use divine weps to fend off invaders or...?

    Thanks,

If I am not mistaken, it is depending if the invader is human or hollow. If you are invading occult weapons would be the choice, but their phantoms are most likely hollow, meaning divine weapons would do more harm to the phantoms. So, host is human = occult. Hollow = divine.

That's new to me. I know divine are good against undead, so maybe that's why you do more damage to a host. Occult are good against Gods, so maybe the damage is greater against phantoms. Needs testing with same AR occult and divine weapons, magic AR specifically.

i remember people doing tests on it and the came out with devine doing a little more damage than occult but by about 5 points which is nothing. the only good thing about devinde is that its better agains enemies in the catacombs, devine does more damage and they dont respawn but after you kill the necromancers you dotn really need it.

I'm pretty sure this has been disproved already, but I don't remember when and in which thread... I guess new testing would be in order.

Phantoms are always human. Even if you're hollow when you place your sign/ use the orb, you'll be human in the host's world then return hollow in yours.

Yeh, phantoms always being human was my line of thought.

And also I was talking about invasions only, I know about the normal uses for them happy

Ah, thank you for correcting me BLA1NE. Last thing I would want to do is give false info. (hence all the disclaimers)
