Well, here is my new forest hunter my favorite feature is that even if they spawnkill me PvE would be better souls for their time (but I do fully intend to try for kills)

Should have a day during the summer where everyone uses an SL 1 toon all day. Instead of killing ganmkers we run around making them chae us for ages.

hmm maybe, that has less a triumphant victory feel more a silent black and white comedy feel however but if we do that should we put up a fight or not 0.o

Well some of us (me) wont be able to win with an SL 1. SO I suppose some of use could just spend hours dodging but if you wanted to fight you could.

Course you can, equip chaos firestorm run to the ledge before the bridge to the cats, cast it and switch to a chaos handaxe to finish the job (SL1 builds are something of a hobby of mine )

I've been having some fun at the forest with my assassin/troll build. I usually just try to waste their ganking time as much as possible instead of trying to kill them. with ring of fog and chameleon, it's so fun to annoy them and make them run around the forest for 15 minutes. I only attack if I get a good chance.

I was too lazy to edit the video, so it's quite long and there's not much action, so feel free to skip straight to 8:30.

At first, i was just entertaining myself by following them and watching what they're doing. Then, when I thought they saw me, i tried to get them follow me to the bridge near the catbear enemies, but suddenly the sunbro died and I decided to run to the stairs to prevent the host from summoning another phantom.

Well, surprisingly he was clearing the mobs by himself and he started chasing me. I didn't even try to hit him, i just wanted to annoy him a little bit more before finishing it.

Results:

-Gankers wasted over ten minutes of ganking time
-Host broke his covenant with alvina
-Host died

It pleases me to know that the host must run all the way back to oswald and spent a great amount of souls for the absolution.

@FinPeku. Damn bro you got alot of patience waiting around for almost 10m. I like to do something like you do some time but i stalk around in my hollow thief gear and fog ring and try to lure em with arrows and poison mist to where i want and then pull the OHKO bs on them .

But usually i just rush in the fight and pray to Alvina that my parry skills are better than the gankers fighting skills(wich almost always is the case).

Love the results though, its always good to troll them a bit by luring them to kill the npc's and like you say it also pleases me to know they need to spend alot of souls to get absolution and that i wasted there time .

I have a more aggressive build for the forest, but against them, i'm always patient despite of my build. The thing i wanted to point out with the video was, that sometimes being boring brings great results. Although, i was extremely lucky when that phantom died.

I think in the next video i post, i'll be more aggressive

So I decided to mix things up last night and hosted in the forest while wearing my ring. Figured first to come in/be invaded gets to fight me. I got a great win against a ganking group on an invasion after some bad losses. I was able to flip around and land a couple WoGs on dem fools and when the host was whittled near death it was just a flick of the scythe to victory.

The real story came from me being a host though. I decided to hang out in a new location. The stairs are old news and gank town. I figured on the off chance if more than one person invaded there was a good chance I'd get a gank from invaders too. I like the clearings near the Alvina house and the tree cliff but the cliff means I gotta clear trees each time and the Alvina house one I gotta be careful not to hit an NPC hunter. So.....


I hung out in the cat clearing. I only faced one invader (twice though) since I was there only briefly. The first fight he must have thought I was up to shenanigans because he was prepared to WoG spam me. We traded a hit or two and I got far enough away to bow. He coulda closed to get an attack off, probably even a backstab but he bows back and I get a narrow defeat. Soon after he comes back in and musta remembered where I was because he got there a lot quicker. He showed up at the cliff near the mushrooms and I bowed so he jumped down. I bowed and lemon buffed and he bowed and did Karmic Justice. First time I ever saw an opponent use that. IT didn't help. I won again but it was awesome to have a strict duel twice in the forest.

Karmic Justice just prevents casts, it doesn't negate them. At least I think so... It's underused though, almost as much as GMB, which is one of the best miracles in the game.

Doesn't it explode when you get hit enough times? Think he counted on me hitting him a bunch. Not necessary with the scythe.
