Building an all around Pyromancer (DEX/FAITH/PYRO) Help!

Greetings guys. A few days ago I was here asking about a dex/faith build.

Well, I tried and had a hard time. It seems that starting with a class that gives you a spell (Pyromancer) makes your life easier (I wasn't being able to pass through the very first part of the game, yeah, I suck that much).

The thing is: I don't know what scales with what, but I know that I want to start with the pyromancer class. I also wanted to walk around with a kick *** Uchigatana (I love the thrust move that sword gives). But I have some questions.

First of all, I need mobility, being able to roll at will and be agile, so I guess that a heavy armor is out of question. Second, I wanted the most powerful pyromancer spells, I mean, to do the most damage possible with pyro spells. Third, to be able to use a good sword like an Uchigatana or Queelag sword with high damage for bleeding effect.

How do those weapons scale? Also, can I build a dex/faith build and still have powerful pyro spells, since their damage output isn't directly correlated to INT?

And damn, this game is hard.

A dex/faith build is totally allright with pyro, since only thing scaling pyro dmg is the glove itself.
However, you don't get the best pyromancies before you have gotten through some areas in the game, but just the fireball can be of some help as well..

First of all, failure is the first step towards victory. At least in Dark Souls.

Having finished the game twice (NG and NG+) with a Pyromancy/Uchigatana build, I think I'm more than able to give you some tips.

First of all, you are right. Pyromancy does not scale with Int, it scales with the level of your Pyromancy Flame.
Some good spells are Fireball/Fire Orb, and Combustion for starters. (Both available from the first Pyromancy trainer you will find.) Then, as you move on and get your Flame to higher levels, you should think of getting Great Combustion, Flash Sweat, and maybe Great Fireball. You can also get, from both Pyromancy Trainers, a copy of Combustion and Fireball, if you want to have more charges of those.

The Uchigatana scales with Dexterity; you can go through the Normal Upgrade Path to benefit from that stat.

Think about how many stats will you be leveling at the same time; you said you wanted Dexterity and Faith, but Attunement will be good for you if you want to cast spells; since you will focus on not being hit, Vitality won't be that relevant, but Endurance will be!

And yes, you can have powerful pyro spells while doing a dex/faith build.

Please ignore the high level, equal Dex and STR, and Int score. My plan was to get to lvl155, so I just started leveling some random stuff.
During the entirety of my playtime with this build, I used a Lighting +5 Uchigatana - this upgrade path scraps the Dexterity bonus, as you should know. But! During NG+ (in which that Uchigatana did almirably nonetheless) I upgraded, as a backup, the weapon you will see on that link. A Claymore +15, which benefits from both STR and DEX, though not at the rate the Uchigatana does from the last stat. It almost outperformed the Uchigatana. Why do I say almost? Because the speed the Uchigatana granted me was a godsend; so I think a Uchi +15 will rock both in NG and NG+!

Also, as you will see, there are TWO copies of both Great Combustion and Great Fireball. Since when you go into NG+, you can get some copies of spells you can only get once per playthrough, that leap to NG+ actually made me more powerful.

I use the Cloranthy Ring whenever I'm not farming or facing a specific elemental damage (if this is the case, I change to the Speckled Ring) and the Ring of Favour and Protection gives me many benefits that have saved my life a couple of times.
I found the Paladin set pretty well balanced; I was able to medium roll with it, and since it actually affords some protection, I didn't worry much about not being able to fast roll. Plus, the curse resistance was just too good to pass up.
There are some great light armour out there though!
