Help with stats

I am currently a new recruit of Solaire of Astora and acquired the Lightning Soear. My Soul Level is currently 80, but to use it I'd need to level up 10 times. I want to know if this would be a waste of points.
Currently it's pros are:Higher Heal(due to Higher Faith)
A strong long range attack for PvE and PVP

Cons:The points I spend on it may not be worth the trouble.

I have enough health and dishing out enough damage currently that I haven't leveled in awhile but I'd like your guys' opinion on this.

think we need more info, what kind of character are you making? what weapons do you use?
Are you most interested in pvp or pve?

Alrighty. I'm just making a primarily melee character, I wear the Black Knight Shield and Black Knight Ultra Greatsword. I'd rather be jolly co-oping but I understand that invasions are imminent so I'd like to have a few tricks up my sleeve if melee doesn't cut it.

not worth it then, go with pyromancy then. maybe get 12 for heal but you can always heal with humanity.
