*** Fantastic Fighting Session IRL

I had an amazing day today guys - I picked up my blade again for some sparring sessions again with my old senpai - I beat him - These weapons were obviously wooden for training purposes - although I beat him after a marathon - I won the tournament in the end - it was basically all of the old students had a get together <--- bit colloquial I know xD

But I came out the winner - only broke one persons bones - roundhoused their helmet off - more of a mask and swiftly delivered a punch to their nose before swinging my blade two handed and effectively hamstringing him and putting my blade on his neck representing my victory!

It was just great to get back into - ***, I wish Melee war was still used rather than all this unskilled marksmanship with a gun - at least with melee combat it was skill and technique that won With Guns its the most deceptive person that wins... btw I effectively parried someones sword and pushed it out of their hands before riposting them - oh and instead of bowing before each fight I praise the sun xD


Anyway great day - you guys should try it sometime - I guarantee you will love it

Well It was Mixed Martial Arts - majority Jujitsu & Ninjitsu however I threw a bit of my Krav Maga in there obviously that gave me an edge - SAS Warrior with a sword and nahh they all knew I was pissing about with the praise the sun - the only one I did for was my senpai - as he taught me up to a good stage in Jujistu

Sounds like you were a bit too good for everyone except your former senpai

Haha - he was the most challenging match - he was the one I pulled the roundhouse and the punches etc on - I had a chance I could have broken his arm though out of respect for him I didn't I felt it would be too harsh for sparring but aye he is an amazing fighter - I didn't know who the other fighters were obviously due to them wearing a mask - I only fought one person without armor - we both came out of that with a few bruises

Hmmmmm given my perchant for accuracy and such ( I regularly do paint ball, airsoft, and the occasional target shooting with rifles and shotguns) I like this age of ranged combat. It means as soon as you'd hear a shot I could run like the **** as far away from there as possible.

Man this mixed matrial arts souls badass.

I always wanted to get into Kendo simply because its not that wussy one handed poken jump swordplay. though I do like fencing.

haha nah this sort of swordplay is all or nothing - It is all about relying on reflexes and training - a constant onslaught - switching between stances/styles - using environment to my advantage - eg one fight obviously we fight in an area where dust is spread on the floor to simulate a good arena and mid battle with my senpai back when I was training I was losing but to get the upper hand I grabbed a handful of dust and flung it into his mask - this equvalently blinded him for the rest of the battle although he relied well on his hearing after complementing the move etc - you have to be cunning etc. I use my smaller size 5'11 to my advantage and obviously my less muscular build - I use their weight against them.
