You Power Within Users Bug Me

*DISCLAIMER* The title is a generalization, I'm not actually annoyed at all PW users just a bunch of them lol.

So I've now been invaded by a couple guys wielding big heavy weapons who start off the match with a weapon buff + PW and all of them black crystaled out or pulled their internets after seeing my new strategy for dealing with these types. This is pretty freaking annoying. So if you use PW, don't get mad when someone turns it against you and shows you how potentially foolish using such a spell can be. Just take your loss, realize your kind of boring method of fighting didn't work this time and invade the next poor sap who doesn't have a clue what to do about your uber damage.

LOL I can't believe guys are disconnecting because of that. I wonder what's your strategy as I really like Power Within and used it on my Smough's Hammer build (ridiculous damage btw). I'm guessing you dodge until they die, which is annoying and may tempt one to just disconnect.

No offense, but I would NEVER use a heavy weapon with a buff and PW. A spear, straight sword, or kat, but only something I can get guaranteed hits with.

Sort of but that's too slow, I'd expect them to BC out then. I use my +15 Bow to poison you and then pepper you with arrows while your dumb hammer/axe/club is stuck in the ground because, big surprise, you missed me AGAIN lol. So I'm still actively fighting, I'm just not gonna be stupid enough to trade blows with a DKGA + dmb + PW.

Yeah it's a good counter, a bit annoying but still valid and clever .

Yeah but using the time I take to bow to spam buffs is a bit annoying too lol. So they can deal with it, just annoying the BC out when I'm winning

i love PW i love using it with my DGH, but if i see people are just running away i just bs them for a ohko. i try not to use it in big weapons since its hard to hit people tha have the dwgr and that's pretty much everyone.

I use both pw and buffs at time but if you beat me like that.....well done. Perfect strategy.

i find that using power within and then buff your weapon to be overkill, i mean really dude? if you wanna ohko someone just put on the hornet ring.

Different strategy for me and even with both it's usually three or four hit kill on campers. Horner ring requires a critical hit whereas I stick to regular. I use it to overcome an entrenched host with buddIes quickly or to create panic. Not a lot of petiole know what to make of a methodical pw/buff strategy

If you are going to poison them try combining your arrows with bung pie it might be pretty hilarious.

i was once poisoned with both arrows and dung pies when i hosted (alone) in the forest, i was just about to die so i made a as i died, it was hilarious and i got a msg from the vader telling me that it funny

lol yea i ran in to quite a few of these people recently. i actually got the look skyward gesture that i never o to get just so i can use it when people cast weapon buff and pw. you are right so many of them will quit out if it starts to work against them.

one guy i didnt run away(sometimes i just sprint the other direction the second they cast PW+buff) i just circle around dodging and not attacking. then they obviously start to get pissed so they become more aggressive and i go in for the bs.

it's so frustrating when people pull their internet!!! it happened to me like 10 times yesterday when I was invading... I buff my +14 estoc with SLB and I'll wog gankers when I need to clear the air a little. But people get so frustrated with backstabs for some reason. It's not like I'm fishing for bs, I love the estoc's moveset too much. But if you're poking me with you ligh spear from behind your Gshield of Artorias... I'm going to backstab you.

Am I playing unfairly, or are people just becoming less patient with pvp? Maybe there are too many people who KNOW that you can even do that. I know I only figured it out recently (I would never do it though)

^ people never dsc when i fight them for some reason. but i agree with you, if someone is going to turtle with a spear/rapier then they should be ready for a BS

Of course, I'm not a Buffer, I just use the power within... do you get mad a PW users that don't buff too?

See I don't get mad at PW users. If you wanna use it go for it! But if I'm wooping your butt because I turned your strategy against you, don't pull your internet. That's why I'm annoyed with, and it just happened to be repeated instances of PW users doing this the other day, hence the title.

Also note I don't use the DWGR so my duck, dodge and fling arrows strategy is more fun!

How to troll PW users: Dodge

Lots of people do that to me when I use it. Then they realize there's no attack to dodge. Then they must rethink what I'm up to

Dodging against PW and/or buff users is legit. I like the idea of getting them poisoned and toxic at the same time also. That's good stuff.

you say pw + large weapons is booring but its actually much more entertaining to me than my dex/faith katana user. i have to be clever and agressive because if i'm hit even once i'm dead in 40-70 secomds and the dgm is slow so i have to outwit you to connect at all. boring is a subjective term.

for the record I only dc when the person refuses to fight me. If you summoned me to duel or invade my world then run off to hide i dc, I dont play that game.

if you just dodge i'll be irritated but thats the risk i took when i cast pw.
