Magic Shield

I need to create a +10 Magic item for the achievement. I'm trying to 100% the game, and it's one of the last things I need.

Since my build isn't a magic build, what is the best shield to upgrade to +10 magic? I figure I might as well get some use out of the item.

There are several nice options for Magic +10s, Warriors Round having effiectivly 85% magic reduction with low weight costs for the exchange of stability and Giants becoming a mini Haval's with 72% magic reduction on top of it's 100/75/75 and cheaper STR cost. For medium shields, wooden types (and Gargoyles) offer reduction numbers usually ending up around 50%, the rest don't tend to scale as well. Eagles scales pretty nicely too, and Effigy ends up near 50% which isn't to bad, but it starts off at 40%.

I'm not sure what build you plan to use it with so really I'm not sure what to recommend, nor are any of them better than the other it just depends on what your situation is and if they work for you.

I need to make a +10 magic only for the achievement. It doesn't fit into my build at all (Fai/Dex). I was hoping that I could make something that would have better magic resist than the Crest Shield, but that doesn't look like the case.

Well the Warriors does have 5% more resistance than Crest and weights 2 units less. I believe Bla1ne uses it lot and on several occasions against the Four Kings and hasn't had many problems with the low stability tradeoff. In anycase it's better to know there are options out there than none at all~

Well, I guess the Warrior's shield wins then.

i love using the magic warrior shield for pvp, its the same as having the crest shield and it has a fast parry, i never block so i dont care about stability.
