Pharis Build (Need opinions!!!)

He will use the composite bow because the BBoP does less damage up-close, which would be VERY irritating. I KNOW bows are viable because Roan kept annoying me by running away and only shootong arrows :evil:

I believe that this MIGHT, be a fun build, so comments are appreciated, and please tell me ways to improve it.

I personally use a chaos comp bow +5 with fire arrows in my build and it works well...

Switch your arrows to fire or moonlight.

Consider adding a little Pyromancy. The mist spells help you control the field and hide your actions. I regularly cast a mist spell then land a few arrows while I'm hidden and they don't see it coming.

Also I'm deeply in love with the Longbow

Where did you hear comp bow does more damage in close? I've never known this to be the case, my Longbow crushes it in damage at all times.

It says it in it's description, but at the cost of more damage, it has less range (38)

My fav bow is not mentioned... Yh sweet build Helm.

Well Fatty I'm not sure that's the case. Or if it is its at such a close range you shouldn't be firing the bow, you should be dodging. I've just used bows a lot on my Dex build and my Longbow always does more damage then the composite.

Yeah and Longbow has S scaling. Which more then makes up for the supposed improved short range damage of the composite

It's a hidden modifier. BBoP has longer range, so is more effective at a distance. Composite bow will do more damage up-close.

Yeah but range affects how distance traveled decreases damage dealt, not just how far the arrow travels. So at medium ranges a Longbow or BBoP will out perform a composite since the distance traveled has a smaller affect on damage dealt. So I'm wondering what the game considers 'close range' as it may be so close you won't be firing the bow anyways.

By close range, it means like 3 Demon Spear's length away from yourself
