Cloranthy ring. PVP worthy?

i was using it a lot last night, i rarely use it, and i have to say it is worth the ring spot if you can afford it. i first thought that it was a waste cause you could use mask of child or grass crest, but it seems to be much more powerful then them(?test). it almost seems like the ring is on par with having both the mask of child and grass crest shield maybe even those two and using the grass. it just seems to recover stamina at a much faster speed then the shield,mask,or grass. anyone have opinions on this?


i was using it with my spear build instead of using the wolf ring. i was able to dodge and attack much more effectively cause my stamina would never bottom out. it pretty much made up for having no poise.

They stack multiplicatively but I thought it was about on a par with the grass crest alone. all three makes for very fast regen. (hmm now I wana try it with the green blossom too)

I use it on my fat rolling builds. Since I have all the defense and poise I could need when at 99% max equip load, I use it to offset the fact that being at 99% equip load grants you next to no stamina regen. At that load the Cloranthy Ring actually puts me very close to what it would be like if I had 50%.

i was using it with light armor 0 poise that might explain why it seemed so fast. its somewhat difficult to really tell the difference in the regen time until your in the heat of battle and you see how fast it can be. it would make sense if it was more powerful sense it takes a ring slot compared to using the shield(which is a decent shield despite the buff) and the masks are obviously arent going to limit your build.

50 % bonus was my impression. That would make it stronger than any 2 of the other 3 items combined

i think thats the case. in my opinion its one of those rings/weapons that people dont necessarily think is bad, but is somewhat underrated for pvp. especially since so many people wear heavy armor, having your stamina fill in less then a second is a huge advantage. if your better at dodging then me im sure it would be even more effective then it is for me. im thinking of trying grass crest,child mask,cloranthy ring, grass combo and see if it is a noticeable difference. i have a feeling a lot of the people i run into who buff their washing poles with +3 dmb do this cause they have the mask and shield a lot of the time. im thinking a build like this would be pretty damn powerful, you could just mash r1 and win most fights. having 0 poise might not even matter lol. max stamina(192) using rofap and the maximum stamina regen speed. sounds deadly to me.

I like it on my tank build but it can be easily replaced by green blossoms. Now something that I never understand is why so many katana users put on this ring + child mask + grass shield, they just two hand and smash the R1. They think they are immune to anything like this -_-

mugenmonkey says the ring "increases stamina regeneration" while the mask and shield only says "slightly increases stamina regeneration". Not sure just how big the difference though.

I think this would be deadly on a DWGR ring user along with mask of the child, cloranthy ring, crest shield while popping green blossoms.

yea either dwgr or rofap(remember rofap increases the stamina bar to 192 if you already have it at its maximum 160, thats the only way to accomplish that) im not saying i like that build just saying it would be pretty powerful.

Or... you could roll around like a madman swinging whenever there was an opening without worrying about stamina! much more fun IMO

I must say i trying to equip the cloranthy ring with the low roll, but unfortnually i cant find any armor with at least 53 poise and below 25%load to do the light roll. Im a scythe user and its very important to have stam/recovery. Cause i wanna try swith dwgr with the cloranthy. I think its one of the best rings in the game. Together with the grass shield and some blossom u can fight very agressive in pvp.

The ring regenerates stamina faster than either the grass shield, mask, or the blossoms. I am only on my phone right now so I can share the link to the tests. But I remember them, and it is a huge difference, (as it should be, since a ring slot is far more valuable than all other methods).

I had a build that used the ring, shield, and I would pop a blossom before every fight too obviously, and the stamina regen was seemingly instantaneous.

Oddly enough two grass crests don't stack.
