Okay, What Difficulty will the New Content/DLC require?

Title. I mean, I have some toons at lvl 110-120 in NG+, and I don't want to go there and ROFLstomp everything.

I say this because most of the caps and videos we saw show people with low level armor and low level weapons/magic.

I mean, of course I could create a new character just for the DLC, but come on, I want my Leeroy (my main toon) to crush Artorias' head first! And he is Lvl 120 and crushes everything in PvE. In other words, I don't want it to be easy for high level toons (even at NG+). It should be a high level area not a low level area that's what I mean, but who knows, maybe the areas of the DLC will be so many the levels to play vary?

id imagine itd be the same as the whole game, first few areas could be quite easy, and then well everyone remembers there first venture into the TOTG

maybe it changes based on your current level.

I would hope it'd depend on which playthrough you're on as well!

Or maybe is just like the rest of the game, where level is trivial and it depends on your skill.

Falls are gonna kill you anyways, whether SL1 or SL710. If you are worried about ROFLstomping the DLC, just try a different loadout.

I'd hope it is more difficult than the rest of the game, as it's made as extra hopefully it will be made to add extra challenge for experienced Souls players.

i for one will start a completely knew character from scratch when dlc is released. i will obviously have my pvp toons on stand by, but i am taking a break till dlc and will most likely enjoy playing the game again 3-4 months from now.

I'm guessing that it'll be about as hard as a Lord's Domain. I'm even finding NG+ too easy as a 120 but I can always visit as one of my ~70 sunbros/wraiths.

I hope Artorias is really hard, too. I find it doubtful, though, since after my 1st playthrough even O&S aren't even a real challenge. Now that I specialize my toons and actually upgrade equipment, nothing's really challenging anymore.

I'd argue Gwyn's battle can be pretty epic if you just refuse to parry him, it's a shame most of us are so lazy

I also want Artorias to be at least as hard as the Flamelurker, would make for one hell of a fun boss fight

i want the battle to be in part's like the o&s fight that way you fight him as divine artorias then abyss walker artorias

You could try the DLC at NG+ or more.

Stronger damage + Unknown enemies = Death

I suspect the difficulty will work like the rest of the game. It's difficulty depends on NG, but the area will have its own difficulty relative to the game, and I hope it's extreme.

All you Demon Souls fanatics... I don't understand who the Flamelurker is. I may just buy the game on PSN Store and see how hard it is. Someday.

Flamelurker is a demon from hell! I actually prayed to God for help with him lol. When I beat him I stood up and ran around the room.

He's so hard for new players because he's aggressive all the time and when he gets to about 30%HP his attacks get faster and stronger and he will not stop chasing you. I ended up oneshotting him with my magic build on NG+ though
