We have a very serious PvP problem.

Ever since I went pure pyro, the fights only last like two seconds. I think this is why.

Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring +20%
Crown of Dusk +20%
Power Within +40%

This gives me an 80% damage increase on whatever pyromancy I use with my Ascended Pyro Glove+5.
I use two Great Combustion and my opponent dies. One Fire tempest and my opponenet dies. I didn't even have to sacrifice Vit or End for fastest casting time. This is ridiculous.

Are you dueling in the Burg, or is this against randoms vaders/hosts?

See the reason why people hate great combustion as a spell? Use to be a strong hate from many.

Great Combusting OHKO someone who is attempting to roll BS could be very helpful. After dueling in the Burg, I too seek as much power as I need so I can kill them before they roll BS me. I'm very stubborn and I don't wanna learn roll BS.

Sounds similar to my cannon build. Great Scythe +15 with lemon buff, red tearstone ring and power within. I started invasions under 25% health, buffed up and choppy choppy. I had more fun rocking the Priscilla's dagger

Yeah small size right. Do you get hatemail or all's good? Do you get roll BS punished by attempting to do Great Combustion? Your Dex is 45 right? Is Great Combustion really fast to get them if they fail a roll BS or are attempting to?

eh, theres basically a version of every type of build(faith,pyro,int) that can pretty much dominate if used correctly. its a shame that pure melee is so weak compared to spells(besides backstabs). plus if someone came at me with dusk ring(halved hp) and power within i would try my best to just dodge as much as possible and use range attacks.

Or roll BS them, which I might even believe it's the only way most players fight in the Burg. I have seen them with my very own eyes missing 3 consecutives roll BS. They roll and face 180 degrees and hit the air.

I get BS punished quite a bit on my pyro build just because I don't want to use GC the whole time. Fire Whip usually results in a BS unless it's used as a finisher, but considering it hits twice for pretty much the same damage as two GC's, it has the potential to be a finisher at pretty much any point in the fight. All the casts are really easy to roll BS, though. And unfortunately, pretty much everyone in the Burg knows how to do it. That's why I stopped taking my DGM build there.

I have a similar build I use in the Forest sometimes just for the hell of it for anti-ganking. I don't even equip a weapon I just have two pyro flames (one base for PW and one ascended +5) and a TCC.

I just had an invasion 2v1 and I see the guy cast TWoP from a little ways away, go behind a tree and just wait. Fire Tempest OHKO'd the summoned guy and the host had very little health left, ran away and flasked up. Right as they were done flasking I hit the guy with a 1900+ HP CSS.

I wouldn't use the setup for any legit duel though.

Fire surge will stop that damage, just use it unlocked.

On topic, yeah thats just about what it does. Its hardly different than the rtsr, pw elemental zweihander. 2 shot most everyone that way too, just roll poke twice.

Oh I've killed bs fishers and roll bs fishers with just fire surge. Even if they turtle 1 slot will chip through half their health unless they have a hugely fire resistant shield. It really is funny to watch the confused guys flail and die because you took away their game.

It actually rips through their stamina when they're blocking. Then it's all critical damage. Game over. Haha.

If it's used while locked on you can just strafe it. It's still incredibly useful.

And having the option to melee is really helpful for people who use the BK shield.

You would think, wouldn't you. Guess thats why it works? Against specific playstyles, its worthless, but for torching turtles, bs fishers, sorcerers, and light weapon users (kat, rapier, bss) its absolutely awesome.

I laugh at turtles. BTW, you can flip through fire surge without taking ANY damage. Yeah, aren't expecting that, right? I got pinned on the hydra bridge in the forest, and the ganker had the gall to try to out pyro me?! HA, fat lot that'll do, roll through and GC your face off!

It's also the best finisher. When they're down to a sliver of hp, you can just unlock and 360 with it.

You can flip through anything and take no damage. Including Tempest, which is an effing bummer.

Aye, sad that not alot of people realize the greatness of I-frames till after it bites them in the ***.

That's the only reason I prefer ninja flip over fast roll. Tons of invincibility frames.

You can, I simply use it unlocked and swivel so i cant be bsd. Rolling through still leaves me time to dodge, same as you did, allowing me to roll bs you because GC has stuck time after the animation

Why is everyone on about roll bs? Honestly?!

The guy didn't know a thing about I-frames, he took the GC damage, ran back and used tempest to try to finish me. I let the guy waste the entire cast before just killing him with a g.halberd 2hr2.
