Lifehunters uniform poll

This poll is only for the Lifehunters. Wyrm has thought about changing the uniforms so that we can be recognized easier. And i had some ideas, but first i want to know which uniform you use. It doesn’t matter if you use the light or dark version.

I use the big hat set. it should be a uniform.

I don’t think so. It has nothing to do with the Painted World.

It doesn't have to do anything with Painted World, but it's awesomeness is too great. I'm feeling we let some of the best looking armor pieces out :/. This includes in my opinion:

Big Hat
Ornstein's Armor
Ornstein's Leggings
Silver/Black Knight Gauntlets
Silver/Black Knight Armor
The amazing Wanderer's Longcoat
The efficient Wanderer's Manchette
Pyromancer set specially the awesome looking Heavy Boots
Giants Armor (I like how it looks although everyone uses it for it's efficiency, it needs a nerf)
Witch's/Sage's robe and set.
Gold Hemmed set


You can add more armors you like to the list./

painted guardian with sliver knight gauntlets and leggings but that just my opinion as its still light and resembles the painted world

Most people seem to favor the lighter armour. At least so far.

My idea was basically that we have (max) 3 uniforms. These uniforms could be chosen from any armor combos. And the Council would choose them. I wanted to know if people want light or heavy uniforms. And it looks like we could ditch the heavy sets. One of the possibly uniforms could be your Priscilla cosplay Wyrm. I still don’t know if i want some full sets.

The thing I forgot about the uniform dependent on poise was the Wolf Ring. Most guys will wear few pieces of heavy armor and put on the Wolf Ring for 40, 53 or 77 poise.

I can't find the list of uniforms, but I use the one that's two pieces of the dark set and two pieces of the Thorns Set. I believe that's the medium set, but I'll wait for confirmation before I do the poll.

That's the 36 poise light uniform.

Yes. We should remember that when/if choosing the new uniforms.

It's *** complicated!!!! There are too many armor and ring combos. What if someone wants to use light armor (0 poise) and a Str weapon? He would want the Wolf Ring for some poise instead of choosing a 36 poise uniform.

I think we should have 3 uniforms at max. One a 0, one at 36 and one at ?53?.
noone of the Lifehunters seem to use the heavy armour anyway.

Or we could only have 2 uniforms but at what poise?

Forum has a 77 poise SL 80 build.

I like the idea of classes instead of uniforms better. Again too many different builds to consider and restrictions of cool builds bothers me.

Yeah. I have the feeling that no matter what we choose a lot of the Lifehunters are going to have to either settle with sub/par builds or remake their builds completely. That is what i had to do when i was granted the use of the dragon body, 3 new builds had to be made.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by classes? I don’t think i understand what you mean.

It's like we have specific roles according to the main weapon of build. That also includes magic and support spells. For example our mage class would have Beatrice Catalyst, an Estoc and the crystal spells. Way too complicated, I have no head for that, because there are lots of variables we have to consider. More poise, more End, less Vit, more vit? What about the armor? Rings? See????

I'm a somewhat build expert but doing 1 build for 1 class to rule them all it has to be creative, original, good looking in accordance to our Lifehunter lore, and after all effective and powerful.

Feel free to continue about with your thinking, but I would like to throw in my personal opinion that I would like to avoid remaking my character if at all possible.

Though, lore wise, we are supposed to be a collection of outcasts from society. Many already have combat experience, its not reasonable to assume they'll be one of a few preset classes.

On the topic of uniforms, I wasn't serious when I brought up the single uniform thing. However if you want to cut down on the number thats fine, but do consider that its highly likely each character was built specificly for the chosen uniform, so changing them could be crippling to those characters and force them to be redone. Example, my pyro has exactly the endurance for the light light uniform, if the weight increases by .3 pounds, I'll have to do it over.

So, really you can do what you want, but we're supposed to be outcasts. As such I'd say the 3 uniforms should be 36, 53, and 76, or we should have 4. The reason being that again, we're outcasts, so being as accommodating as possible in playstyle preference is ideal.

There is a good chance that whatever limits are set you won't make everyone happy, unfortunately. Sever limits will kill creativity in both armor and stats and will more-then-likey hinder some chars tactical ability. Your task is a difficult one.

@Wyrm. I don’t think we should have any classes. It would probably limit our builds. But as forum said our lore is that we are outcasts, from many different places. So we only have to worry about the lore on our uniforms.

@Forum. I think that there should be a 0 poise uniform. And i know that many builds are min/maxed, all of my builds are. The reason to changing builds is that we want to be recognized, is there any other way for us to be recognized? We can’t really use any gestures before the fight due to gankers. And we already point to Priscilla after a fight. Speaking of which, i think we should do the same gesture. Not point or prayer, everyone should do either one.
