I will simply start putting on various combinations and see what looks good and offers decent defense. Now any reccomendations on weapons? I'm avoiding katanas due to personal dislike. Here is my prototype version actually: http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/?c=3320297466416848

The armor and main weapon are both undecided but I decided to fill them temporarily. I welcome advice on all aspects of this toon.

I'd say at the least take a Dagger up to +14 and at least test it with DMB. It should deal a crapload of damage.

Well I dunno what you guys like, but this is my DM's set up:

    http://tinyurl.com/7njdth2

I admit though, he's a lot stronger at dueling than he is at taking on gankers.

Take up a pole arm. I always back spears and halberds as main weapons. Silver Knight Spear if you really wanna be a knight.

flamberg! Use the flamberg! Lol jk. To fit in with the knight scene, good weapons would be the normal halberd, claymore, any rapier, bss, zwei... ya know.

    "noble" knight or scary knight?

Steel chest, black iron hands/feet, crown of the dark son is my setup atm. Making a new sl 90ish for new londo, be a sneaky prick if I can, hide in the dark with rof.

Hmm interesting, I was considering the balder side sword. I need a shield though; I'm no good at playing without one at least being available yet. Hey is Ricard's Rapier good? I like its combos and it scales well.

If I'm invading rather than duelling, I'll usually go with a shield in the offhand instead of talisman and use quelaag's sword instead, these days I'd even consider TWoP, but only if it's just gankers I'm encountering. (especially corrupt sunbros, they're the worst.)

It's good. If you can manage to corner an enemy or something, an R2 combo (2 times) releases a 6 strike flurry. Combined with DMB, it could basically decimate anything in your way.

Okay so Ricard's Rapier is a good idea then. Okay thats decided then thanks for the input. I'll just experiment until I find an armor setup that suits me.

awesome. I don't see enough of Ricard's little boy. He's a cool *** weapon though, shame I really don't like using rapiers..

Normally neither do I but it seemed to fit my build. It's one cool weapon though.

I prefer weapons with an ark with option of straight attacks, and well the BSS is perfect for that, undoubtedly my favourite weapon to use (especially with it's killer R2)

Yeah the BSS is a good weapon without a doubt. Like I said I definitely considered it but I now have a good weapon to work towards.

Ricard's is amazing if you know when to land that r2 combo.

To bad you don't have the weight for the pike, because I'd say go Leo's ring and use Ricard's and pike with DMB on either.

Oh man. How did 7 pages pop over night?
Well, I just read through it all, and will do my best to respond to what I can. If I miss anything, feel free to ask again here, or even message me!

As far as the alliance goes, I id read the whole 3 page debate, and I very much see both sides. It was fully my intention to ally with the Knights, but the points that Forum have made make a lot of sense too. So, for now, I would like to postpone the decision and see how the covenant runs. We do support the knights in their mission, but as of this moment, there is no official alliance. It's nothing personal, I just need more time to consider everything that has been said.

As far as the BB, it's totally fine with me, I do the same thing. I don't much like PvE, I play for PvP.

The honor rules I set only apply if you have the opportunity to bow. If you are within seeing distance, the bow, if they bow back, its a duel. However, if they run, or are obviously BS fishing, WoG'ing, or TwoP'ing, then its no rules. Clear enough? We treat our victims with honor only if they do.

Sunlight, I am all for you leading the Xbox side. I still have to think up a name for the leaders (you and me.)

    Did I miss anything?

Also, BSS is my favorite for my DM character. I easily hit for 600 with DMB maxed at sl 120. And it hits so fast, awesome moveset. My backup is the flamberge. Just food for thought.

Call me lame, but kats and the dgm/zweih are my favorite weapons. I really don't think people are used to good ugs users because I destroy with them.

    Yeah, sure.

It will be a challenge to restrain myself though, I'm so used to being able to do whatever it takes unless they bow first. I want new londo. Dark londo is too dark and ruins lock range, but new londo +ring of fog could be so awesome. Just a little to white in the pw for that to work.

Like I said though, I'm a LH. I helped create the cov. If you start wars involving them, I'll side with them. (not sure how lore focused you intend to be) I won't quit, and I'll kill whomever else, wherever else you'd like, I just won't fight for you in that battle.
