My attempt at an Artorias build

Not bad, It's pretty viable but it's still inferior in power to using an elemental claymore.. But the plus side is you've got both powerful sorcery and WoG, which means you can use that as a crutch for your very average attack power.

the true one sucks for pvp, even in sl 225 but if you like it then go ahead and make it, the best version swould be to make a build that has 40 on str,dex,int and fai and use the cursed version which is better than the true version.

I agree with you both, it was just something I wanted to try despite it by no means being an ideal weapon for SL 120 PvP.

with 30 faith and 30 int the cursed one does much more damage

Is the cursed better than the true version? I didn't know that, I would have thought the true would be more powerful at all 40s

Split vs pure damage is the reason.

Could you explain why in terms of AR for the weapons? I don't know the AR and split of each weapon.. I'm guessing the cursed has more Physical AR or something?

I just think the holy version looks cooler, despite the cursed version being both easier to build around and not having the split damage penalty.

So I may lose, but at least I'll look good doing so. 8)

cursed is all physical, true is a fairly even split.

Just nothing special, and is lacking in vitality, but that is to be expected.

It still seems like an impossible task to make an outstanding build out of this weapon.

EDIT: In my opinion, if they patched the game again they should change the cursed version's prerequisites to make it viable.

Your CSS won't hit a fat roll with that low Dex. Also the sword gets horrible 2~3 AR per point scaling, so I decreased Int to minimum.

P.S. How many orbs would my HSM give me at 20 Intelligence?

I think 3 or 4 orbs. The attack is just for decoy, it rarely connects in PvP. You do it and can lure your opponent to your roll R1.

Yeah, I just don't know if my opponent would take me seriously if he saw me cast up just 3 orbs. But maybe for decoy purposes it would still work. That's really all I want, is to force them into a roll.
