I am making my pure pyro now. this is my build. But should i have 2 pyro flames equipped? I wont be using PW so an unupgraded flame is not required. What benefits is there with having 2 pyro flames?

Different angles - you can dead angle with pyro's easier with left handed casts.

Re: two pyro flames.
But can’t you just use the pyro in left hand all the time then?

Re: two pyro flames.
the angles at which you attack not just dead angles having them in both hand means you can throw aa fire ball with your left then swap to Great combustion with the right and the transition is much quicker aswell i personally love dual wielding spesh if you have the time to get 3 fire surge casts

Having one in the right allows you to have weapon/pyro or shield/pyro at the same time. So either way, you can always cast. Plus parry GC is awesome.

Re: two pyro flames.
http://tinyurl.com/87xa2ha I either am two handing my G. halberd, or I have my glove out. once in a while, I may try to surprise them with a dagger parry, but very rarely. Mostly with BKGA's. I'll just show them that I have it, and then put it away, They'll stop spamming and they'll try to mix things up. That puts them out of their comfort zone, and puts me into mine.
The left hand casting with the G.Halberd's range is just awesome. I'd recommend simply having once since there's no reason to have two out. Especially since you can't have GC in the left hand and then Fireball in the right. That'd be awesome, but you still have to manually switch...

Re: two pyro flames.
one of my biggest wishes for the next game is to allow catalysts, talismans, and pyro glove to be able to parry. how great would that be if instead of those useless punch/strike attacks? as for using two gloves, i personally think it is an advantage if you have a lot of pyro 23+att. if you are just using GC and GF or something its not needed, but if you are going to be mainly using pyro it is very good to have options as to what hand you will cast with. especially while manually aiming fireballs having the option is great, and as others mentioned it allows you to "dead angle" opponents with fire surge and GC. if you have a shield and a weapon also its a good idea because a lot of people look to see what weapon you have your catalyst in, to let them know when you are going to cast. if you use your LH for the start of the fight then all of a sudden switch and use your RH it can throw some opponents off. its not necessary, but it is useful.

Re: two pyro flames.
I've always liked the idea that two catalysts/flames/talismans have completely separate casting times from one another. For instance, while in the middle of the animation for throwing a Great Fireball, you could be casting Fire Surge with the other flame, or as you're starting to cast HCSM with your left hand, you could also be simultaneously casting CSS with your right. This would allow you to "machine-gun" spells, trading off very fast casting amount depletion for pressure games. Certain spells such as the miracles that require you to crouch before you cast them or the Fire Storm variations would be exempt from this rule due to their unique casting animations and obvious OP'ness of it, but otherwise I feel it might allow pure casters to be viable builds.

I like the idea of "machine gun" casting, but I could see it getting out of control really quick. You could stun someone with WoG and hit them with a CSS for an OHK. Stuff like that would make casters OP. Maybe if only certain things could be cast simultaneously.

Re: two pyro flames.
Are you asking if it wouldn't be possible, or suggesting that it not be? Even if you went just pyro, you could attune a bunch of fireballs and just go apeshit unlocked.
