by omega Elf Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:47 pmi'm currently using the Murakumo which it seems is very good at dead angle i had 2 forrest gankers turtling and going for backstabs and i managed to waste them both using lock-off so i really like this weapon and im just wondering what other weapons are good

i don't believe a spear could unless it was some sort of swing attack but i'll test it and see

Or a quick lateral move to hit the person's side. The running two handed R1 of the Great Scythe can do an amazing job. I've got a lot of people by surprise by running to their right side and hitting them in the back with it.

Any weapon with a wide swing arch is great for dead angling. Ie any curved greatsword, some of the greatswords, the halberds and some of the other pole weapons as well.

Spears can, i've done it, its just not a reliable thing. My point was any weapon will deadangle if you know what to do. The bigger the weapon, the easier it is.

Your using the best weapon to dead angle period!
But any and all katanas will dead angle like crazy I only attack unlocked with kats...its all about your placement tho....with kats you wanna roll to the side and slightly behind them...unlock and chop a few times and evade....just becareful of getting bs'd!
Also msgs and mlgs both dead angle great one handed...just let them get close stay to there side unlock and you'll swipe right through there shield!
If you roll past someone and unlock with claymore or msgs and do a 2 hand R2 it willl dead angle great as well!

I fought a ganker yesterday. He was using the BKGA so i thought he was just onna spam r1. But he dead angled me,and stomped me in the process. I was a lot more carefull when i fought him again...
