I never found PW farming any good, its like 200 per kill right?

Take an AoE spell such as WotG or Fire Tempest and run to the maiden statue that's surrounded by the shield/spear holding undead blob things and AoE them all to death, then run back to the bonfire. Even on a first playthrough (Silver Serpent and Symbol of Avarice included of course) this nets about 10,000 souls every 30 seconds. Obviously this goes up in NG+ and beyond
