The Voices...

The voices, have you heard them? As I made my way through the Crystal Caves to hunt butterflies I was taken aback by the howling of the wind. These caves were notorious for their persistent winds and crystal golems. There was an ominous feel today, though. Something was amiss. I made my way down the invisible paths, I'd negotiated them a few times before so the area was familiar to me and I had felled Seath the betrayer not too long ago. As I reached the bonfire deep in the cave I rested and began to back track, taking down the clams that stood in my way. As the last of the bunch fell before my sword I heard it...

"I made a mistake..." then whispers. I stood motionless for what seemed like an eternity before I heard the whispering again. More aggressive this time. This was no wind friends...i fear this may be the voices of maidens long dead at the hand of Seath.

Alright, so I'm farming for blue slabs in the crystal caves and just so happened to leave my controller to go change my daughter. All I hear is the howling wind, but then it happens. Barely audible whispering! Had anyone else heard this? One sequence of whispers does start with, "I made a mistake..." then continues, but I can't make out the rest! Eerie...

I hear whispers all throughtout the archives and crystal caves. I seriously HAVE to turn down my volume in there. I mostly hear them near the entrance, by the iron boars.

Seriously? I always play with low volume because everyone else is asleep. Knew I was missing things!

Earphones or a headset dude. It makes games at night so much better. And you getted the crap scared out of you, too.....

^^ Astro A40's just for surround sound on dark souls. I sound **** also xD

I would do headphones since I have a great set but I do night duty with the toddler and need to hear

Skull candy. Wayyy better for sound. The faux surround sound of a40's are unneeded. I want to get a good mic and just keep buying new skull candy because my turtle beaches have broken twice now. Idk if its me ir the brand, but i just dont trust headsets anymore.

@skare you can always have one ear off and have good sound. And if there isnt constant music, u can have both on.

That drives me crazy. Tried a bunch of things but I appreciate the ideas. She's been sleeping better so I will probably just turn up the volume and keep my fingers crossed

I use Skull Candies when listening to it through my PVR as in no sound through TV - all through the laptop but obv instead through the SC's

I always rout the sound through my laptop since my headset broke.

Ok WTF I read this and now I'm *** scared it's 4:00 am here!!!!!

There's also some weird ambient sounds in the painted world close to the cliff, and in demon ruins around the capras.

This is stuff that really interests me. Probably nothing big, but man what a great way at instilling an ominous feeling!

Just like when you start paying attention to the walls in the catacomb bonfire.
