It's that time of year again ladies and germs.

This B2G1F I plan on actually buying something instead of sitting on my *** at home and crying my eyes out as my empty wallet mocks me from a corner with jeers aplenty.

I've been going over the scrolls and the 2 purchases I'm fairly concrete on are...

Call of Duty Black Ops: Yes I know, it's a CoD game and I'm a sheep for buying it, but I can't help it...I sold blops about a year ago because I fell on some hard financial times, and well, because MW3 sucks so much tripe I figure I could settle for Blops and Zombies until Blops 2 comes out in November to sucker away another $60 of my money (crafty Activision Bastards)

Demons Souls: After falling in love with Dark Souls, I figure it's time to give it's spiritual predecessor another go. I purchased this game once before when it first came out, but let's just say that I wasn't as patient then as I am now, a friend offered to buy it off me for $50 and I quickly seized my way out. I'll ask my fellow Souls though, is it as good as Dark Souls? I also heard that the servers were going offline at some point, that still going on?

The last game I really haven't decided on...I'm really up for anything so long as it's in the $20-$30 price range. Anybody play any excellent games that might have slipped under my radar?

Black Ops it's nice; not COD4 nice, but it's nice. The problem lies on the MW2/3 part; purchasing one is like having the other. silly

And yeah, can't go wrong with Demon's Souls! Servers WERE going to go down, but Atlus announced that the shut down was put on hold indefinitely, as long as people showed interest on the game.
The game is kind of harder than Dark Souls, and you may feel the lack of some later additions (like poise and plunging attacks), but it is still enjoyable and great.

I know what you mean regarding MW...

MW2 was one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time, I didn't care that it was Grossly unbalanced (UMP-45, 1887) I didn't care that it was full of boosters and hackers and 10 year olds who thought themselves the god kings of space....It was genuinely fun, and some of the best years of my gaming life were dedicated to latenight matches of search and destroy with my mates.

Then MW3 came out and...*** everything right up...Like a fart on the wind.

Black Ops I didn't originally like too much, but it did grow on me, and I really miss zombies. I'm hoping Blops 2 isn't as big a pile of **** as MW3 is...I hope....

Any suggestions on a final game to add to the list Azran?

Based on your other two game choices I'm not sure exactly how well this suggestion will take for you, but I've been playing almost as much Sonic Generations as I have Dark Souls recently. I'm not a Sonic Fanboy (I'm a Mario FB since gradeschool silly) so I'm not just spewing out my butt when I say it's the first legitimately all-around great Sonic game since the Dreamcast. I don't know how much you care about the Sonic games, but as long as it's a free extra 3rd game it's the perfect time to try it out.

Sonic has been hit and miss with me since the old Genesis days. I kinda enjoyed Sonic Colors though so my faith has been sorta restored for now, I'll look into it.

On a Sonic note...am I the only one who at least kinda enjoyed Adventure 2? I mean yeah the story and characters were tripe on a bike, but if you just muted the TV while the furry parade was talking and made up your own dialog it had kind of a charm to it, and the variety in gameplay was nice....(except for the god damn gem levels -_-)...though it did commit the Gaming Sin of creating Rouge the Bat...and Shadow....

Go for some scary single player you'll be happy you did.

Dead space 1 or 2 is good for when youve had to much Multiplayer and a little to much RPG for one day.

I really hated Blops. I couldn't even get past level 19 in multiplayer because I hated that game so much. Zombies was fun though.

There isn't really much I can recommend right now; not new games at least. I recommend Dead Space 2 if you are into the zombies things. After all, it's zombies in space!

    Thanks for the answers.

I would do Dead Space, but I already own 1, and played 2 through to completion.

I'm kinda wondering about Star Ocean 4...just for the cheesy JRPG factor.

Adventure 2 was the last of the overall good Sonic games, IMHO. And admittedly, Shadow wasn't bad in Adventure 2. He was just bad in every other game he's ever been in :|
But yeah, since then it's been real hit-or-miss. Some games like Unleashed showed some promise, but ruined everything with the Werehog. Generations goes back to the series's roots though, where it's all about Sonic running fast through a level with kind of speed-based platforming only the Sonic series has done right.

I just hated the gem levels...having to look in the walls was a pain in the ***.
