Just got a Drake Sword

Before I called quits for the night I killed Sif and then went to this area where these panther like cats ambushed me. I got my souls back and then quit.

I rang both bells but I feel I haven't done something yet here before going to Anor Londo.

Moonlight, Return to the Asylum, Havel, Hydra, Ash Lake. Wait, don't go there without the Lordvessal haha! Piece of piss to get back up the Great Hollow...

the way your builds going you could become a murakumo user, though that sword is generally hard to find, it is a very nice pvp weapon (same moveset as the server but higher base damage and scaling)

Yeah. I was thinking of suggesting PvP weapons and stuff, but she seems to be all about the PvE right now, which is the best part of the game, IMO.

Don't screw it up for her by getting her into PvP before she's done with PvE

I got Havel just before making this thread, felt good getting him too but I thought I would had gotten more souls. He's harder than the Taurus demon. I killed moonlight butterfly with the witch. The Hydra kills me once im in range of the ice missiles it shoots.

I think im going to go back to the jail, I need to watch youtube to see how to. And where's Ash Lake at?

I want to use spells but the guy I saved just keeps saying hope you don't turn hollow. Im going to read how to get some.

If you go to the left, away from Quelaag in blight, you'll find the giant tree, the Great Hollow. there will be 2 illusory walls. Then, you'll be able to traverse downwards, to Ash Lake, but it's freaking annoying to get back up without the ability to teleport between bonfires.

Getting to the Asylum is easy. vagetta does it in ONE of his Before the Gargoyles Videos.

I just looked it up, im not going there until I get another stone. I got cursed already and it made me quit the game for a while.

Broski, what do you trade with the "hawk girl" to get the two purging stones? That would help alot. Go to back to the asylum and on a ledge to your left theres a nest, drop a certain item (help please with which item) and then quit your game, reload and there will be 2 purging stones waiting

It does not scale... So its a big NO for new players... You could really mess up your stats and end up going all elemental with the build

Getting back to the original thread, The Drake Sword, in my opinion, gets a lot of unfair criticism. Yes, compared to weapons you can get LATER in the game, it is not as good but you are meant to get it EARLY on before these weapons are available to you. I found it invaluable in the early stages and I have the suspicion that From made it available, so that less experienced players can acquire a decent weapon early so that they wouldn't give up and when I say early I mean before you venture out of the Burg.

I agree with that, for me I didn't want another hard game like Amnesia but I didn't want it too easy for me either. I think the drake sword for me would had made things easier, and plus now im too used to the Battle Axe moves it's just weird going to a different weapon unless it's a spear.

Yeah that stinks. If ya ever need help with a boss or area or just want to co-op hit me up on psn or any other forum member on here, everyone on here is real helpful.

I killed the gaping dragon and carpra demon with some farming in the burg/parish and got my strength to 33 and vitality to 27. I made my dark halberd +1 and fought the asylum boss. Minus the r2 attack this is my new favorite weapon, it took me 3 tries to kill the asylum boss because of it's explosion move but was still sweet. And on top black knights in general cant stand a chance against it.
