Hey guys. Been a little while. Thought maybe some of you here would be interested in seeing something I've been up to since I've been gone. I created a youtube channel for videos of me doing seemingly impossible things with NES games. Here's a link to the very first one. I slaughtered the original Ninja Gaiden with only 2 lives. Died once the entire play through. Any of you who may of played that game back in the day can truly appreciate the gravity of that. Anyway hope some of you enjoy it.

Yeah you too. I'd say about a month of playing on and off. Took time to learn all the spawns and boss patterns. The last couple of levels were the really hard part. Everything after Bloody Malth is pretty much designed to get you so frustrated that you give up. I'm thinking about trying to do a flawless Jackal game next. I'm to a point where I can do every level without getting hit. Just haven't done it all at once yet. I'd be willing to take requests too. As long it's something semi realistic and would be fun to try. The only real reason I did this one is because someone bet me that I couldn't.

That series defined difficult for a long time. Should do the trilogy. Or battle toads

I think Battletoads is beyond me. I've always been good at the old school, but I never have beaten that racing level.

Earth Worm Jim has one of those too. Its such a great game but there's that one level where you have to cruise around in that bubble that breaks SOOOO easy. Just makes the game not even worth playing.

Star wars pod racing. Good god does that game get hard. Og you took 1 corner wrong on the 27th lap of a 30 lap race? You get 11th now, try again.

I beat Pod Racing for the Nintendo 64... I think that is one of the games where I got a blister on my finger... that and Super Smash Bros.

N64 is a piece of ****; The controller is horrible, and is the main piece of playing the games. God... some good games too. :evil:

Yeah I remember renting that game when it first came out and not getting past the first hand full of races. Fzero was more my speed. Loved those games.

Extreme G and diddy kong were my 64 racing games.

Plastic, I have a smattering of video game music on my phone to listen to. I went jogging last night and a guitar version of a Ninja Gaiden II song came on. I had to run a little harder. Because that's what Ryu Hayabusa would have wanted.

I have to admit there's one from the first one that always psyches me up when I hear it. Nintendo knew what they were doing back in the day.

Ninja Gaiden music is still epic. This might be blasphemy in some circles.....

However, Super Mario 2 remains my favorite and the music is outstanding.

Oh I couldn't agree more. I always preferred 2 to 3. The NES megaman series have to be my all time favorites in both respects though.

Never played the original Ninja Gaiden on the NES 'cos I never had one but I did play the ones on XBox. Couldn't get past that damned helicopter in the train yard in the first. Kept running out of arrows but then I'm not a hotshot gamer. I liked 2 a lot, mainly because the improved graphics did wonders for Ryu's rear end. I think Ryu has the best rear end of any games character. (I know I'm sad):oops:

No rear action on 8 bit graphics really. Game is legendary though. Side scroller like Mario but very punishing and innovative..Rear ends can be nice too in games. I'm looking at you Primal. Not Metroid so much. Armor gets in the way
