onto the the nerfs, when pyro and certain spells got nerfed im pretty sure they didnt like it and i think they got about 20,000 letters from fans which to nerf them becasue it was too powerful which pissed off about a million people that didnt want those spells to get nerfed since they ere really useful against mobs and bosses and now you need the a piece of headgear and a ring to make them as powerful as they were. what im trying to say is that i dont think it's fair that the pvp community is always complaining about something when this game was built around the pve side of it and will not be perfect or balanced and before asking for a nerf think about how a pve'er would feel if those powerful spells that he/she finds reall useful are gonna turn into poop.

a little something to keep in mind
there's alwasy threads about nerfing OP spells and it's always about the pvp side of it but never the pve side of it, i know people say that after beating the game about 50 times they get bored of pve and pvp is where the fun's at. keep in mind the pvp community is a VERY small part of dark souls and most people get it for only pve, maybe some coop here and there and i know this cause i know a couple of guys that only play dark souls for pve and have beaten the game about a hundred times which makes them more hardcore gamers than people that get bored of of pve after a couple of months, i mean it doesnt get more hardcore than that.

I largely agree, though while I believe the PvPers should keep the enjoyment of the PvEers in mind, so should the PvEers be respectful of the fun of the PvPers.
This is a game, everyone should be allowed to enjoy it to its utmost.

i know, but all im saying is that most pvp'ers dont really care about the pve'rs from all the threads that have been made all this time no one ever mentions anything about the pve side of it. pve'rs knwo about invasion and they put up with it judging by how many times i invade the same poor guy fat rolling trying to get through the level which i eventually end up helping lol, it is part of th game but pvp'ers completely forget about the pve side once they move onto pvp.

I think you made a very good point.
I guess twop is an example - it was simply too powereful for pvp, but after the nerf it became pretty much useless for pve.
But if you think about it it would actually be the developer's job to find a way to balance them for both pve and pvp. They could have for example simply just made twop last shorter on phantoms, but still leave it to last longer on the mobs.

Have the Dev's create a PvP area like in the DLC & maybe chuck in a couple PvP
Weapons & Gear that help out great in PvP but provide no benefit to PvE perhaps?
I'm abit rubbish when it comes to these kinda discussions.

The function of certain spells/equipment could change based on PvE/PvP circumstance.

Agreed Rant... Though I think the nerf still was intended to make PvE harder as I believe personally FROM wants you to HAVE to melee a large part of the game, as that's where most of the experience, mechanics and challenge comes from

Re: a little something to keep in mind
Yes but some things that were too powerful in PVP now are useless in both things. I tested TWoP and a lot of mobs in Lordran and the only enemies affected were the forest clan and the two darkmoon girls. What the heck is crystal ring shield? I used that weapon at lot to farm demons titanites! It was nerfed because of PVP complain when now you can buff Moonlight GS with CMW

You can? :| (Is this a glitch or just a legit buff, because that's retarded.)
Also I still use crystal ring shield... I don't use it for anything except looks and using it's L2 just for the hell of it

I believe its a glitch, but now everytime I invade someone and they're ready with MLGS and a Crystal catalist, I immediately switch to hornets

If they were going to buff their MLGS they would have a pyro glove in their off hand.

Most of the time, when I spawn, they're a bit far and turning around, but when they gets close its already buffed

Re: a little something to keep in mind
pyro could be pve balanced again by lowering most enemies fire defense by say 50. and when they nerfed the crystal ring shield.... they took it too far, i can barely use it for anything now, it was op in pvp but they didn't have to kill it..

A lot of online multiplayer games have the tendency to nerf things by making them worthless/irrelevant.

Re: a little something to keep in mind
Why nerf anything?
If something appears to be too over-powering then surely the whole point is to try and find a way around it, not constantly moan and ***** to the Developers until they eventually dumb it down to the point where it becomes a mere shadow of it's former self?
I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time , but I do not recall seeing this level of nerfing when Demon's Souls was in it's heyday, and so would it be unreasonable for me to suggest that the reason why we are seeing it now with Dark Souls is that this great game was never a PS3 exclusive.
Don't get me wrong, I do not wish to start a flame war, nor do I wish to be in any way disrespectful to our Xbox buddies, but the plain and simple fact is that they never had the chance to experience DS, and so DkS being effectively an extension of DS would have undoubtedly been a right eye-opener for them, which could help to explain why so many gamers as a whole (bearing in mind that removing the PS3 exclusivity would have undoubtedly opened up the game to more Gamers across all of the platforms) had difficulties coming to terms with the game in it's original form.
I may be way off the mark, again it wouldn't be the first time , and so if you think you have another explanation as to why so much has been nerfed in DkS but very little was in DS then I am interested to here it.

Re: a little something to keep in mind
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Xbox players had a significantly more difficult time playing DkS simply because they hadn't come from DS.

Re: a little something to keep in mind
Most of them would have, as (to my knowledge) there was nothing like DkS on the Xbox, and so for them DkS was their DS moment.
