Are these the ones by the witchwood?

If so I suggest travel at night as then the bandits won't be there, and in the witchwood night/day don't matter. They's meant to be hard, as they're linked to a quest meant for people who are further than you are.

I was trying my very hardest to enjoy dragons dogma, but i am just having trouble. Not because i expect it to be like dark souls(im not like that), i just have been encountering quite a few bugs. Also a few game design choices they made are very questionable, in my opinion.

Do you guys often see your pawns or quest companions fighting with nothing, only to have enemies just randomly appear and disappear again? That first quest where you bring the hydra head was filled with these bugs, then when it turned dark the non pawn part members and hyrda tow vanished. I heard there were pop in issues on 360 but im ps3 and this was a bit more then pop in. Do you guys experience this?

I haven't experienced anything like that.. The only bugs that have happened to me is that it slows down occasionally when I do too many spells with my Mystic knight and I fell through the floor to the sea one time..

    How old is your PS3?

I have the new slim model. Its barely a year old. It really only seemed to happen on that quest(i havent done many), i think its because there were so many things on the screen. Like when you have 3 pawns, yourself then the 4-5 allies+ a pack of goblins and wolves ext. I kinda feel like the whole night time element was made to partially cover this up, even though i will admit its a really cool idea. I retraced the path 3 times after it turned dark and could not find the convoy, and it hadnt said i failed the quest so i dont think they were killed. After like 15min searching(about 2seconds away from the city gates i might add) i ran into a pack of bandits that consisted of a few mages that one shot all my pawns and myself.

That's not quite the same quest.. (I think?)

I've been playing it on a Fat PS3, but just got it new as you know, so maybe its fact you have more data on it or something? I've played a good 50 hours minimum and never experienced anything like that, and I've had a fair share of manic battles with god knows how many enemies around.

The night is totally not meant to cover it up, it's just an awesome idea, though some areas I think get easier when night comes as bandits get removed most of the time.

Undead replace bandits at night or trolls. But they are not as numerous as the bandits.

I have not had any of those issue but I play that on my xbox.

Hmmm, thats very strange. Cause trust me it was pretty bad, i wouldnt say game breaking or anything but enough to really be annoying. I have seen in multiple reviews that the pop in on the 360 is very noticeable and makes the ps3 version a lot better, but i seem to somehow be getting the same issues on ps3. Also how inconsistent the random enemies can be is really annoying, a few times it seemed like they were always in the same spots then i had a pack of wolves that seemed to spawn infinitely. Like i mean i would kill the last wolf(my pawn would say "well done arisen" or w/e) and then immediately another pack would appear(out of thin air) and begin to attack. Im beginning to think maybe my save is corrupted or something.

Ive had the wolf thing happen before 2 or 3 packs in a row appeared, its get stiresome but can be fun. I dont know about the disappearing stuff, thats odd. Never experienced it myself.

THe only bug i had was a pawn that didn't fight. When enemies were near
    he would just walk around.

But I just got some amazing skills and bandits are easier.
Had to wander a while tho, to get some more discipline points.

    Sorcerer is just amazing.

I don't really mind, not healing, the damage sorcerers do is high, as long
as you have someone distracting the enemies.

They cant? dont they have a spell that heals the party lol, plus the items you can use to heal. I'm really surprised you guys have not had the invisible enemies bug happen, cause it was so consistent while i was playing. You will just see your pawn attacking nothing and i often would take dmg from something i could not even see. This worries me that something is really wrong with my save, or possibly my disc.

Yea the pop up is noticeable but that does not bother me. I think you should try Doughs advice and start a new one. Maybe that will fix it. It does sound terrible acutally I would feel heart broken if that happened to me.

And yes Mages are the only ones that can heal sorcerers are full offense. .
