I need a manga to read..

i havent read much manga. but of what ive read (and seen the anime of) fullmetal alchemist was quite great, ive only gotten to volume 6 because my go to bookstore closed down, but of what i read, it was quite a thriller. Zombie loan was another one i read pretty far into. it started out pretty interesting, but after like volume 6...well i cant say it wasnt interesting after that, it was just REAAAALLY trying to make you go "wtf?"

haha, I've read FMA, by far the best story driven shonen manga I've read, then again it's not the usual style that demographic is in.

Never heard of Zombie loan, I'll add it to the list

Well I just finished catching up with Skip beat, wow that is one addictive manga (damn you Fex and I feel sorry for ren, puts up with so much lol)

Onto Outlaw Star next then!

lol, I once read ItsNotMyFaultI'mNotPopular (what they call it on site I use), but I got kinda bored of it.. I like there to be progression in my mangas, there was none

Also read berserk which is awesome.. The other two I'll add to my list, thank you kindly

Though I'm kinda seeing if I can start reading a few more female demographic mangas and appreciated them more, so if you guys can recommend any good ones I'd be thankful

I don't have much knowledge about that genre, but watashi ni xx shinasai is pretty good. I don't think Madoka Magica counts but you should read it/watch the anime.

Did you read Shin Angyo Onshi already?
You could try Vinland Saga, it`s really good, even if you don`t like fighting mangas (the theme of the manga changes drastically halfway through).

my sis recommends black butler...
i recommend soul eater or B.Ichi (same author and he always put some weird symbol between the b and i)
also for a shojo... maybe fruits basket?

Of course I read it already I finished it in about a week. I swear I discussed the ending with you..

I'll add all those to the list.. Except for Soul eater, I tried to read it but it was one i didn't get past 1st chapter.. Maybe I'll give it another go but wanna try shojo first..

Fruits basket seems to be recommended around quite a bit so think that'll be next..

I thought they rushed it a bit honestly. And the final scene in the manga with another angyo onshi was kinda random and confusing (as he was the last pretty much). Also the evil sando thing could have been used better but can't have everything really

Was good overall though, best arc I thought was the princess trapped in her imagination. That was the best written story of the manga I thought.

You mean when the Aji Tae blew up everything? It was kinda meant to show how futile everything was.

No I meant, munsu got poisoned... Then after he woke up the ending just happened instantly. It shouldn't have been done like that I think, it just felt hurried and forced.

Things that could have been were wasted and the ending just felt hollow compared to the rest of the manga which was otherwise very reflective and thoughtful. The end had nothing of that.

Also, have you read Vagabond? it`s another really good manga IMO.

Yeah I've read vagabond, is good shame the serialisation is a bit lazy even though only just came back.. I love the art in it though, the detail is really nice and the fact that it doesn't glorify samurai or make things overly flashy. Shows sword fighting for what it really is.

I'm guessing you have read Akira, and Lone Wolf and Cub (kozure okami), if not go read them right now. You have mentioned Vagabond and Berserk. Another oldschool manga I enjoyed was Nausicaa, but I'm also a big fan of the ghibli/miyazaki animes.

Some animes:
All the Studio Ghibli w/Miyazaki animes (movies).
The Twelve Kingdoms (juuni kokki). Mostly enjoyed it, although it started off a bit slow. No manga for this, as it is a book adaptation (only read the first two volumes).
FLCL (furi kuri), a bit over the top, just enjoy the ride. Didn't like the manga.
Berserk. The recently released movie, Golden Age arc 1, was surprisingly well made.

I've read lone wolf and cub, really enjoyed it even though it's ball breakingly long

Akira I gave a try but I gave up after couple of chapters, couldn't get into it despite how much people tend to like it, may go back to it at some point though.

have you read Aiki? It´s a really funny fighting manga.

Soul eater= harry potter+bleach. I love it, but if you don't like both of those things I doubt you'll like soul eater.

too bad it only comes out once a month.

Well I like bleach... but it's not like bleach Also I really don't like harry potter anymore. Books were okay as a kid, having the series shoved in my face at the movies last 10 years just got annoying.

Spur I actually prefer the monthly format, those mangas generally focus more on their story than weekly mangas.. Though there are some exceptions to that rule (D.gray-man and claymore to name a couple)
