Yep, a simple way to kill it. Two hand your weapon, get it to charge towards the sunlight altar and stand on the ledge next to the stairs. Then just do a plunging attack onto it.

I always use the stairs up to the archers and do a forward R2 attack.

I can't believe I hadn't done it before now, I have killed those things so many times that I was shocked to see something new. Come to think of it, I may have seen it on the giant rat before

I had the same revalation the other day at Sens ,I have over 800+ hours logged on this game and only just found the BF at the too of Sens lol.
So now I have come to the conclusion that you never stop learning when it comes down.to playing DkS.

I've tried to ride the crow in firelink with the same method, but can't quite reach it with a plunge attack from the nest :|

There is a BF in Sens found it on NG and forgot where it was after I left. Its by the end somewhere behind an illuory wall I think

It's posts like these that always make me leave messages. I only found the bonfire in sens (where you have to drop down from the roof) because i saw a message on my first playthrough. Moral of the story is play online and always explore
