Help: Uchigatana Lightning Weapon

I'm really enjoying Dark Souls and I got this amazing weapon called the
Uchigatana. I did a look up online and I'd really like to infuse this weapon with lighting magic so when I attack I can shock my opponents as well. Can someone provide me some guidance on how I can make this happen?

1) Use Gold Pine Resin
2) Get the Sunlight Blade enchantment
3) Upgrade it down the Lightning path in Anor Londo

Pendant pretty much covered it. But to upgrade to lightning upgrade it normally to plus 10, then bring it to the giant blacksmith in Anor Londo and he'll hook you up!! GL.

You could use the gold pine resin, but it does not last very long. I would recommend upgrading the katana to +10 and taking it to the giant blacksmith in anor londo. There you can permanently upgrade a weapon to lightning and use chunks and slabs to level it up to +5 lightning.

So, just curious... Uchi +15 or Lightning +5?

Lightning +5 is the best for a first playthrough; your stats won't be as focused as later playthroughs, so you will be much better off with Lightning, since it removes scaling.
