Shield attacks can block

If you 2 hand a shield, the r1 attack can block an attack if you hit the same time they do.
I used a spider shield for this.
Just something I noticed and wanted to share.

EDIT:The heavy attack can do it too.

Hmm... now I want to create a spiked shield build.

That's the trick of kicking with shields to use offhand attacks, especially GC.

I was thinking about doing this yesterday. Can you 1h a Heater shield and do the push animation into a GC? It's like an even more effective kick.

Is the push a variant of the kick animation, or a melee attack type thing?

You just kick.

How does a dual shield setup do in dark souls pvp, is it viable? I remember that it was a big annoyance in demons souls.

With the Bonewheel shield, against a low poise opponent it is devastating.

You can be parried, though, so be careful! I've parried shield attacks a couple times, both main-handed and off-hand shields.

^ i remember this guy was trying to fight me with the pierce shield, he seemed stunned when i parried him. He just kinda stood there after lol.
