Talismans and Cleric

I just started a new Cleric build that will be my new Tank and Miracle character, sort of like Havel but cooler...

What is the difference between all these talismans? Do I keep the Canvas one that comes with the starting gear for Cleric? Some scale with INT some scale with FAITH if I am not mistaken.. Do some cast quicker than others?

Should I upgrade Dex at all or can I leave that at a level I like that allows me to use a certain weapon like 16 or something? I am on 10 at the moment..

2 break points. If you are aiming for 30 Faith, Canvas. If you want 50 Faith, Darkmoon talisman. If you are using Dex scaling weapon then 40 Dex. If you want to use an occult/divine weapon then base stats and 50 Faith.

30 faith and STR weapons

Well you don't need Dex then. Only STR weapons that need Dex are the black knight weapons and the zweih/greatsword but those need high Dex so that they get max AR.

Ideal stat levelling for SL 30? I would appreciate what you or others would do to level up?? thanks and gear that you would find up until the Capra Demon (just before the lower burg)

Most Str weapons are found after Capra Demon. In the Depths you can find the Greataxe which is pretty good for low SL. But the other hardcore Str weapons can be found at Blightown after you join the Forest Hunters Shiva will appear close to the bonfire selling them. Before Capra you can find the zweih which is at the Firelink graveyard and it's like the Greataxe, low stat requirements and weight.

I am using Astora Sword for the first time ever and loving the moveset...

Can anyone do a character build for a Cleric build/tank build for about SL30 via Mugenmonkey etc to see how you would have levelled up etc and what you would be using (equipments/rings) before the Lower Burg

you could do something like this http://tinyurl.com/d64dat6 what i usually do is get str to 27 and two hand my weapon asap. i dont bother with med or heavy armor till later in the game since i can just wear light armor and the wolf ring.

never used a save with a double handed weapon.. you had STR at 22 on the planner, why 27? is this pre-req for Greataxe?

22 to be able to two hand it and 27 to get the most out of its AR. never go above 40 str unless you wanna be able to one hand a certain weapons which str has 4, the three demon weapons and smough's hammer.

so most of the levels I should improve is END/VIT then FAITH and a bit of STR?

depends if youre gonna cap your build at a certain level. the first build i showed youi is actually my leeroy build and ive been succesful with it on pvp. if youre gonna tw hand your weapon i suggest ending up with something like this http://tinyurl.com/c47sv9m i also have a build that looks exactly like that and i like it a lot, with 27 str you can two hand any weapon that need 40 or less str to use and buff it and hit really hard.

Yeah but if you're gonna two hand your weapon you're better off with the grass shield and switch havels for the ring of favor since you need as much stamina and stamina Regen as you can cause two handing a str weapon eats away your stamina really fast.
